Better than netbooks

I got this a few weeks ago for $299 for my daughter. Not bad so far, FYI though the C drive for the OS is only 30GB I think and the D drive has the rest of the 300 something GB. Not a big deal, but I had to remember to change the default install locations for programs so as to not fill it up. No CD-Rom drive, but light weight. It does come with a zippered sleeve.

How does this compare to an AMD E-350 fusion setup? Both in terms of CPU speed and GPU.. I'm not much of a gamer but am looking to do some photoshop work on the go.

is the Free docking station expired? i dont see it in the combos list or after adding to the cart...

I have the dm1z (AMD E-350) and have no problems doing light photoshop work on it. I love my dm1z so far.

This CPU has a higher passmark 979 - 730...not sure how/if the other stuff compares and the build quality of this.

not seeing the docking station, I am guessing the offer expired.

I bought one of these awhile ago on Mwave for $299, great computer for the price and exactly what I was looking for : something almost as portable as a netbook yet with a little more power for me to take with me on my travels. Definitely worth the money if you're in the market for the same kind of thing as I was. Much better processor than the Atom in all the netbooks. I have used it to do light work in CS5 without a problem! Recommended!

No docking station but still decent deal, repped!

When I started out in the H/W Field that's how I did it and that's how I suggest partitioning a drive which is essential in data recovery.

Win 7 allows you to expand a partition. You could probably expand that 30GB a bit... I like to leave my C partition around 40-60GB depending on what the machine is going to be used for.

You could also look into moving the swap file to the D drive.

This is soooooo last year!!! Thumbs DOWN!!

With how crappy their monitors are I think this is a terrible deal. Also the price isn't very good for what you are getting.
