RETIRED: Official HEB Deals Thread

I just got back from HEB. Two $5 cats printed for me for BTFE. I bought 8 GM cereals (Reese's Puffs, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms, Chocolate Lucky Charms), 10 Hamburger Helpers, a bag of Green Giant frozen veggies, and a $1 bag of Betty Crocker instant potatoes.

Also, I found some $3 beef HT at WM. I used one for the $2.98 # prepackaged ground chuck and it went through for $3 with no beeps.

Oh, and a word of caution re: the $3 HT. There were some tags on the St Genevieve wine that were NOT the $3. These had the Bolnar pictures, but they were trifold and had recipes and said something about a sweepstakes, but no coupon.

Orinianlly I put 20 items in one transaction- but only got one cat - so before paying out - since cats print before transaction is complete- he called manager on phone and verified that you have to do it in separate transactions - I'd been reading mixed info on this - so just be aware that depends on store- but for me - can only do 1 per transaction for the BTFE deal.

I bought 5 bisquick @ .81 ea
2 BC mashed potatoes $1 ea
2 Small Pilsbury Grands flaky Biscuits @ 1.28 ea
1 Butter- Whipped $1.68

I didn't have any coupons...but was pleased as these are items we use

Then I bought
4 fruit rollups ($4 off 4) @ 2.37 ea
1 bc cake mix - $1
1 bc frostin $1.39
4 yoplait splitz @ $2 ea

Had $4 off 4 fruit roll ups, 2- $.75/2 IP for Yoplait Splitz, $.75 off wyb frosin & mix, & 2 peelies for $.50 off 2 fruit rollups. The YQ coupon beeped - now I see that the coupon must have been an M and not a B - and can't stack. Learning the B rules still. Cashier did push through- but it was my mistake.

Also, wanted to share that I did the meal deal and got the 20% more free package of cheese - priced at same price $2.38. Also, asked if could pay the difference for pepsie regular priced at $1 (2 Liters) instead of the Pepsie Max priced at $.97 for (1 1/2 Liters) as I had family member who can't have asparatame, he said yes since I was just getting one.

I am excited about this promotion - my kids love the fruit roll ups and i usually never buy them -- so thanks BTFE!

If blondecowgirl got 2 on same trans, I wonder if stores are set up differently? HMMM, though I would love to throw all in one order, guess i will break mine up too just to be sure it works.

The Bisquick pouches are $0.81 at most of my stores.

I cannot believe that it happened to ME. I did the 10 items and jumped for joy when the $5 cat started printing. I heard someone say that the frosting/cake mix wasn't printing. Anyway, when the cashier hands me the catalinas, the $5 cat is missing!?!?! I didn't actually see where she put it. I said, I should have gotten that $5 one that printed and she argued that it didn't print!! I was going to go to customer service, but she handed me one and said it was the one I just gave her. Ugh! I wish I could have caught her in the act!! She even gave me the print that comes right after the $5 cat...

I'm telling you guys, when you reach the register ASK the cashier if their machine is working(even if you know it is) When they say yes say good, I am expecting a $5 coupon!
