Everyone-

Please don't post links to pre-generated coupons. We've been told by Target that it's against their rules. Most coupons are available at coupons.target.com- please go there to get them.

Thank you

Please keep all OT and chit chat to a minimum. For anything that is not deal-related, please join us here at the Target Chit Chat thread, in the ever-popular SD Lounge for lighthearted chit chat that may or may not be related to Target.

I have a request/new rule that will will need to be implemented in threads such as this from now on.

When you make a post you need to avoid doing a copy and paste of the work of someone else. It is stealing to copy and paste things directly from other sites such as the TT site.

We have been contacted by them and asked nicely to stop doing that.

If you see good coupons or deals just we love to have you share them with us, just be sure to rewrite them before posting.

Target Thread Rules:

  • Do not ask (even in a covert way) for any coupon that has been scanned or discuss any coupon that is not used for its intended purpose. This goes for ALL scanned this is what ALTERED means this will cause this thread to shut down, per Moderator warning.
  • Do not post directly to Ebay auctions. It is considered self-promotion because the mods dont have a way to verify if you are the seller or not.
  • Do not discuss or promote unethical and/or illegal activities with coupons or GCs (i.e. using expired coupons, using fake coupons, etc). Do not post expired coupons. Do not discuss ways to use expired manufacturers coupons (Clarification of this rule can be found here.)
  • Do not discuss ways to misuse the true intent of a manufacturer coupon.
  • Target.com has changed to the E-Centives coupon printing system where you have to download special software that keeps track of what you printed, like bricks coupons. The coupons print out directly to your printer. The manufacturer coupons printed from the Target.com website can NOT be posted here as they have a unique serial number above the right hand barcode. Target coupons printed from sites such as RedPlum are also now individually encoded and can NOT be posted here as well. If a Target coupon (such as those currently from Target.com) is not individually coded, it can be posted here.
  • In keeping with SD rules, multiple per pages (MPPs) must be hosted off site, such as with google docs.
  • Finally - Mod Alert any fighting! The mods would rather catch it in the beginning, versus going back 5 pages to see what happened.

Target Coupon Policy - Take a copy of this with you!

Dear Target Guest,

Thanks for asking again about using coupons at Target. Coupons are a great way to save even more when shopping at Target, and we make it easy to use them at our stores. But because of the variety of coupons available to our guests, we do have some guidelines for how coupons can be redeemed at Target:
  • We accept two kinds of coupons: Target-issued coupons and manufacturer-issued coupons.
  • We'll accept one Target coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits it.
  • We can't give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item; in that case, we'll adjust the value of the coupon to equal the price of the item.
  • We can't accept coupons from other retailers, or coupons for products not carried in our stores.
  • All valid coupons should be presented to the cashier at the time of sale.
In addition, Target empowers the store to limit the number of items a guest buys with coupons. We reserve the right to limit purchases to reasonable family-size quantities. Have questions or want more information about using coupons at Target? Check with a Guest Services Team Leader at your local store. You can also give us a call at (800) 440-0680, or visit us on Target.com. Either way, we're here to help!

Thanks for shopping with us. We'll see you again soon at Target.
Sincerely,

Dear Target Guest,

Thanks for writing back regarding our coupon acceptance at Target. When a coupon states one per purchase, and you have more than one, you can use one coupon per item, as each item is considered a purchase and not a transaction.

We always welcome your questions, so if we can assist you in the future, please contact our Target Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. You can also speak with a team member at the Guest Services Desk at your local Target store, or visit us on Target.com. Either way, we're here to help!

Thanks for shopping with us. I hope we'll see you again soon at Target.

Other Target Information

1. Mark Down Schedule - Please note that the list may not be entirely accurate, as some stores have reportedly made changes to this schedule and other stores may be days (or weeks) behind schedule!
  • Monday - Electronics, Kids Clothing and Stationary (Cards, GiftWrap, etc.)
  • Tuesday - Domestics, Women's Clothing, Pets and Market (food items)
  • Wednesday - Men's Clothing, Toys, Health and Beauty, Lawn & Garden items
  • Thursday - House Wares, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Movies, Music, Books, Decor and Luggage
  • Friday - Auto, Cosmetics, Hardware, & Jewelry
2. Holiday Clearance Schedule Please note that with the last few holidays, stores are not as rigid with this schedule and can be a day or two ahead or behind. Bagged holiday candy is slower to be marked down than other holiday merchandise.
  • 50% off day after holiday for three days
  • 75% off fourth day after holiday for three days
  • 90% off seventh day after holiday for 1-2 days.
3. Target Price Adjustment Policy
  • Target price adjustments can be done for 14 days (excluding clearance). If you purchase an item and it goes on sale within the next 2 weeks, you can take your receipt to Customer Service for a price adjustment.
4. Target Rainchecks
  • If an item you want is out of stock, there should be a little tear off pad with rainchecks. You tear one off and take it to the cashier, tell them the quantity you want, and they will print a raincheck. Please note, current rainchecks do not have a barcode and when you go to use a raincheck, the cashier has to manually type it in rather than scanning a barcode.
5. Coupons Available at Target Computer Kiosks
  • Target.com has switched to using E-Centives coupon printable software that limits and tracks the number of coupons you print and Target coupons can no longer be printed at the in store kiosks because of this.

6. Missed Coupon Policy
Quote from pharmstudent01 View Post :
There's no one answer as to the time frame a missed coupon can be taken off receipt... It depends on the store and the person at customer service. Some stores say till the end of the day. Some stores say 3 days. Some say 1 week. And some say until receipt is valid (90-days) Some don't care (so that would also mean 90-days).
7. Price Matching at Target
  • Target stores will now match prices of other stores with a physical ad of the competing store. Please refer to their official price match policy at their website here [target.com].

8. Out Of Stock Items
  • If an item is out of stock (OOS) on both the shelf and the backroom and needs to be ordered from the warehouse, there will be a small gray dot sticker on the shelf price tag of the item. If there is no gray dot on the shelf price tag, enter the DCPI number into an updated price check scanner to check back room stock of the item. If your store has the old style of scanners, ask a team member to check the stock of the item for you.

9. Contacting Guest Relations
  • (800) 440-0680
  • Guest.Relations@Target.Com
  • Questions, Comments and/or Complaints about Target/Super Target and/or Team Members.
  • When sending a Team Member compliment and/or complaint, keep in mind that ETL's get share-pay bonuses, while Team Members don't. Stores are responsible for store-controlled things like clean restrooms and sales floors, carts and hand baskets available, response time to the jewelry and electronics counters and Guest call buttons, etc. Also, use a different E-mail/name each time, else after 2-3 complaints they just refer you to the Store Team Leader (STL).

Common Abbreviations & Acronyms Throughout the thread, you may find some abbreviations and acronyms that are confusing, as some are very specific to Target. Here are some of the most common you'll see mentioned repeatedly.
  • AC = After Coupon(s) (as in, "I used 4 MQs and 3 TQs, so my total AC was $1.23.")
  • AF = Archer Farms
  • AP = Asset Protection ("Loss Prevention" or LP for many other stores)
  • BC = Before Coupon(s) (as in, "My total BC was $56.78.")
  • BOGO = Buy One, Get One free
  • Blinkie = In store, on aisle coupon dispenser with blinking LED light
  • GSTL = Guest Services Team Leader (Cashier Supervisor)
  • HTH = Hope That Helps
  • INF = Item Not Found. Usually refers to an item that has been on clearance and has been salvaged.
  • LOD = Leader on Duty [like a Manager on Duty (either the store manager or a store asst. manager)
  • MM = Money maker
  • MQ = Manufacturer's Coupon
  • MP = Market Pantry
  • MPP = Multiples Per Page
  • OOP = Out of Pocket
  • OOS = Out of Stock
  • PA = Price Adjustment
  • PM (first meaning) = Private Message
  • PM (second meaning) = Price Match
  • Peelie = Peel away coupon on retail package
  • RP = Redplum
  • Q = Coupon
  • SS = Smart Source
  • TL = Team Lead [a level of Target mgmt. (supervisor, department manager)]
  • TPC = Temporary Price Cut
  • TQ = Target Coupon
  • V = Vendor Coupon
  • YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary (as in, something may or may not work for you)

How do I let someone know they've posted a no-no?
  • If you feel it would be beneficial and helpful to the thread as a whole, go ahead and post an answer. But if you need to correct someone on an etiquette issue or on coupon use, try PM'ing them first. That avoids embarrassment and negative posts. Here's an important couple of tips.. Smilie

1) Target puts out their own coupons on their website. You can combine Target coupons and use them with manufacturer's coupons. So if you have a Target coupon for Heinz Ketchup for $1.00, and a manufacturer's coupon for Heinz Ketchup for $1.00 - you are allowed to use them both together and get $2.00 off your ketchup purchase. Smilie So check Target's website, I think they put up new coupons every other weekend.

2) You can also find Target coupons in the newspaper. If they aren't in your newspaper, check e*bay and coupon clipper sites - do a search for "Target coupons" and see what comes up. You can also combine these with manufacturer's coupons. Right now there are Target insert/newspaper coupons for $2.00 off Kotex items and there are manufacturer's coupons for $1.00 or $.50 off Kotex items. This makes some of the Kotex items FREE.

3) Check your coupons and make sure that they don't say "excludes trial items" on them. If they don't, you should be able to use them on trial items, potentially getting them FREE. (This varies from store to store, some stores will refuse you.) Not long ago, there were $1.00 Tide detergent coupons, and you could use them on the Tide trial sizes which were $1.00 = FREE Tide.

4) Keep your eyes open for coupons in the actual store. Sometimes Target will have tearpads, peelies, hangtags, etc, that are Target coupons. Again, you can combine them with your manufacturer coupons. Right now there are $1.00 Target Ziplock coupons attached to some Ziplock items in the store + $1.00 Ziplock manufacterer coupons = some pretty cheap darn Ziplock stuff..

5) Watch the Target ads for gift card deals. These are AWESOME. Combined with coupons, sometimes Target will pay YOU to take items off their hands. The last major one I remember was the Venus or Fusion razors.. it was buy two, get a $5 or $10 gift card, I can't remember which. And there were $4 coupons available to use on the razors. Buy two razors, use two $4 coupons and get handed a gift card back.. good deal. woot There's also a Sobe gift card deal coming up, making the Sobe free using coupons.

6) Keep your eyes open for coupons that say "buy x product, get y product free." Then combine those with other coupons. Example: I had coupons for $1.00 off Chinet plates. I also had coupons for FREE Heinz ketchup when you buy Chinet plates. I ALSO had $3 off $15 partyware purchase Target coupon. Combine all those, and I now live in a Chinet fort and take baths in ketchup. Big Grin My skin has never looked so smooth (and tomatoey) and my utility bills have never been so high. (I'm kidding, I'm kidding.. laugh out loud)

Hope that helps out a little bit. We were all new once. Feel free to PM someone when you have a question about something they post here.. if they don't answer, at least you tried, right? And a bunch of people will answer.

Wave I haven't posted here in a while Blush

Found 3 piece Balcony/Bistro Set from the Conservatory Patio Collection.

Reg. $374 marked 75% ($93.50) but, rang up $86.02 Yahoo!

DPCI 009 00 2986

Love this set (really purdy) and used the T check card for an extra 5%.
I found this set, still at 50% at 187.00 - they have 3 left in stock. I was trying to get them to tell me when it will go 75%, as I am willing to wait, but every red shirt I spoke to said "dunno". I'm sure they give them a schedule and given that the tag for the 50% off sale says it expires the 18th and this is the 21st one would think it will go 75% soon, right? I want a set for me, and a larger dining room type for my daughter who is hosting our July 4th party this year. I just couldn't pull the trigger on 50%

but thanks for posting this so I can hopefully watch for it to go further. (of course now all the Target employees are watching for it too)

repped for posting the deal. Smilie

I know there were some looking for someplace that has the single cans of that Seattle's Best coffee stuff, I saw them today at KMart- they had 4 different ones.

Also at KM they had the Purina Beyond One food I mentioned yesterday on 'Price Drop" for 5.99 until 7/11. I took the tag and I'm going to see if my Target will PM on it. If they do it's buy 2 at 5.99=11.98- $4(2 x $2 MQs)=7.98-$5 GC = 2.98 for 2 bags. At my Target I think there's a fair chance of it happening.

And, is anyone else getting constantly signed out on this site? It's not happening anywhere else but here and started last night.
They won't take the $5 GC into account before the price match? I know mine are super fussy about TQs and other Target discounts when trying to pricematch....

We had a really bad storm here in NE (as seen on TV at the CWS) on Monday. I went to Target today and the storm messed up there computers. All my MQ"s came up invalid and they were all good, checker had to override all of them. Confused

I don't know what they'll do, I'm going to try it tomorrow. I actually think they'll do it here. I usually just put out the facts and let them decide and it usually goes my way. They all know me well EEK! , no under the radar for me...The other day the GSTL told the newbie cashier, when T coupons were beeping, just to K1 things as TQs are beepers and I don't scam and they know where I hang out if I try something Cool. When I was leaving today the security thing beeped (it was my phone), I waited and when no one came over or said anything I said, softly, 'well, I'm leaving' and the 2 cashiers said 'Bye , Lachie'(not my real name, or TIA either)

I'll let you know what happens. I'm wondering if this food is a goner, though. Pups love it and I'm stocked but hoping it won't disappear.

They should NOT PM it because the giftcard value makes each one less expensive at Target already. The computer @ CS will not allow it after the purchase because of this. $7.49 x 2 = $14.98 - $4 MQs = $10.98 - $5 GC value= $5.98 for 2 or $2.99 per bag, which is cheaper than the price you're trying to match at Kmart.

I have not kept up with what everyone is experiencing with the $10 bathroom coupons, since I have had a toothache since Saturday night and cannot get in to my dentist until next monday! I did go to T yesterday and was shot down on the bathroom coupon. The cashier called over a supervisor and the supervisor said they are cracking down on coupons. I asked her to tell me what this coupon is good for, if it was not good for the waste baskets I had. She said she did not know what it was good for. I promptly told her that T is alienating customers by being vague on what coupons can be used for. I don't know whether to try again in a few days. These people they called over to the register were rabid!

Only 1 set still in the box and marked at 75% ($93.50)
I don't know what the $86.02 was about. That's 77% Dontknow

Found a few other patio type items scanning lower than actually marked. This has always been my experience with clearance items at T.

Please forgive if you're already aware but, you can enter the dpci into the scanner (some scanners aren't capable) to check item price and stock. This comes in handy for over-sized merch. like this patio set.

Also works well when a (sale/hot deal) item isn't on the shelf and you'd like to check back room stock.

hug I hope you're able to pick one up for a decent price.

ooh, going to t tomorrow! Smilie

it's been a while since I went, so i'm going to make a big affair out of it!
Realized I still have my free cool juice q, so i'm gonna grab that. Also, found out about the ore ida deal, AND I have 2 free q's for the sweet potato fries from their fb promo, so 3 for free! Bringing 3 $1 off q's as well, I love fries! I guess I'll need to buy bigger shorts too. LMAO

Also, I got a couple of the benadryl itch relief sticks last time they were free, and they helped with mosquito bites so much! I have around 8 tearpad q's for $2 off the benadryl, and getting it for like 30 cents is really nice!

Bringing my 2 LA looks $1 off q's, and a couple other things to buy stuff I need.

One question, anyone know how much Schick Hydro Shave gel retails? have 2 $2 peelies I want to use. (My mom bought these w/o using the q's on them XD, decided I'll use them somewhere else.)

Also, if they have some of the nicer new suave professionals product? like the heat resistant cream?
TIA! Smilie

Stopped after work again - still no John Freida shampoo or conditioner restocked. Have you tried that stuff? It's awesome! I used it for the first time this morning, the shampoo, the conditioner, and then the stuff in the little bottle with the pump and you are supposed to use just one pump and rub it through your wet hair. My hair usually feels like straw after my wash it, but not today. And that pump stuff made my hair so shiny.

anyway, I got two more shower tension rods ($10.99 ea), one pink flamingo shower curtain ($9.99) and one set of curtain hooks ($9.99). Also 9 boxes of Nexcare and two trial size Dove deodorant.

Got a young girl cashier. Looked friendly and she was. Put the bathroom stuff up first and I asked if we could scan the coupon after each one. She did, and put each one through with no problem whatsoever. Total OOP $1.43

So while we were chatting she says earlier today a woman came through and used THIRTY of the $10 bathroom coupons. Yes - that's right - THIRTY. I asked what she got and she said towels, rugs, pretty much everything. She said this lady once used so many coupons that the register completely locked up (didn't know that happened at Target!). So while I am a total coupon advocate, sometimes I just think to myself - REALLY? Did you really have to use THIRTY coupons at one time?? Way to make it harder for all of us..... at that rate I really will have to whip out a boob to get my coupons to go through.... not that this girl would have wanted to see THAT!

Oh - I forgot to add that I ran into the peelie lady!! I was so excited - it was like seeing a celebrity! She was an older lady, had a name tag that said Proctor Gamble on it. She was putting peelies on the Old Spice bodywash. I said "Oh you're the peelie lady!!" She kind of laughed, and I said "How did you ever get that job?" She said it took her a long time and a lot of waiting, and she finally got a call. She had rolls of peelies in her little bag - I was so jealous!
Are there only particular shower rods, curtains, hooks that the $10 q does not beep on? I tried one
rod today $9.99 and it beeped and I didn't get it. I thought from posts today that the q was not beeping now on those items. Is it ymmv??

If I remember correctly, the screen said something like coupon not valid. But the cashier did not enter the price, she just pushed a key and accepted the coupon, and it accepted for the full $10. These are adjustable tension rods, there are about 8 different finishes, I think the brand is RE. I think I got Titanium and Bronze or maybe brushed nickle. Can't remember.

I finally ventured out to try my $10 bathroom TQ today and I can't believe I had minimal problems. My cashier was a teenage guy so I was feeling pretty confident. I had a metal toilet paper holder that was $11.99. He scanned the q and of course it beeped. He read the coupon and checked the item a few times and then got really nervous and called over the team leader. She was an older woman but very nice. He told her that I have a $10 q but the item was only $11.99. She read the TQ a couple of times and told him to put it through as long as it was over the value of the coupon. I couldn't believe it. So many of these TQ's are hit or miss. This is definitely a YMMV! Good Luck.
