**This is the Compact version.**

Costco Connection mailer has the following:

Quote :
Cuisinart Griddler Compact Multifunctional Grill $10 off

The multipurpose Griddler changes with just a flip of the reversible non-stick grill-griddle plates. Features five cooking options; contact grill, panini press, full grill, full griddle and half grill-half griddle. Hinged floating cover adjusts to food thickness. Limit 3

$29.99 after $10 off Valid July -July 31, 2011

No model listed but here is the current Cuisinart link for the Griddler Compact: http://www.cuisinart.com/products...gr-35.html

sellout.woot.com had an older version of the 4 series (without the reversible plates) for $39.99 + $5 shipping today...refurbished and sold out.

I noticed the ad says its the compact version..so it looks to be this one sold by Amazon for $69.95
http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-G...B003YV7M7G

So while not as good a deal as I first thought when posting, still about 1/2 price what others are advertising it for. There is only one set of heat controls but as an owner of a 4N, I've never used both.

So it's a G-35 not G4 series...not sure what the difference is but still seems to be a good buy if the price is right.
I don't know either, but the GR-4 has three knobs, and the GR-35 only has one.

According to Cuiniart.com, both machines are the same size,
14.90" x 6.65" x12.50"

So the dials give away what machine it is, the G-35, but they are the same size FYI.

I'm at costco right now..weird thing is the display has 3 controls (griddle temp, selector (off, griddle or panini, and a grill panini (warm, low, med, sear) but all the boxes are for the one with 1 control (off, low, med, high)

Model is GRID-70PC
Specs:
-5 functions in1
-reversible nonstick plates
-adjustable twmp control
-integrated drip try
-compact design

The display says just about the same thing.

I remember from the 4 series that Costco version had a different model number (but basically the same machine).

Perhaps this is a new model for Costco and they left the old display. Does the box have the dimensions?

It can slso be GR-3 Jr.
http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-G...142&sr=1-1
14.4 * 12.2 * 6.5

Any information on the wattage? 1200 or 1500?

It's not the GR-3. According to the reviews, the GR-3 is only 3-1 and does not have the reversible plates (no flat side grill for things like pancakes). The add clearly states that this is a 5 function grill with reversible plates.
