Heads Up: Chase replacing Chase Rewards card to Chase Freedom

Not sure if this is happening to everyone or just me. I logged into Chase's website to see my Chase rewards card (3% on gas, grocers, drugstores, 1% on everything else), with a chase freedom card (reward varies) without any notice.

Upon calling them they stated they eliminated the program and moved everyone to chase freedom and had mailed something out on June 16th (which I have never received)

Just wanted to give you all a heads up..

They just gave me the boot on the 24th of last month. Called and cancelled the card last week. Don't really understand why it took them this long to complete the process, since they clearly decided a long time ago to do it.

Should have torn it up or not used it anymore instead, closing a line of credit that you have had open for a long time decreases your credit score.
