Need an electric freestanding range
Think I've narrowed it down to this Kenmore 30" freestanding electric range @ Searshttp://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...ockTyp Checked it out last night, sale price looks solid and the reviews on the site are really good. I have a 10% mover's coupon plus 5% cashback from ShopDiscover to sweeten the deal further. Near as I can tell, there's no way to save any more on the thing, or get free delivery. I know they work on commission so I'm going to go back tonight to see if the salesman I talked to can throw in the delivery (I'm willing to forfeit the 5% cashback for free delivery and installation). My budget was $500-700. I honestly don't really NEED the convection or the warming zone or speed boil or dual coil or any of the other fancy stuff this thing has, but at that price, I figure I might as well. The unit felt a lot nicer than many of the others they had in that price range too. I'd like to get something in the next week or 2 as I have nothing but a toaster oven right now. Is this a good deal, or is there something even better I've missed out on? Or maybe I can sweeten this one even further? I also have a 10% mover's coupon for Lowe's but they didn't seem to be running any great deals when I stopped in. Thanks for any help or feedback. |

Well, in case anyone is curious, the salesman was quick to give me free delivery AND 5% off in store. It was still a little more than the online price since the 5% was applied before tax and not after like with ShopDiscover, but getting the delivery tossed in was worth it for me.
Moral of the story; Sears sales associates work on commission, and they're able to adjust prices, so it doesn't hurt to ask. Also, in my store at least (but it sounded like a corporate thing), if you ask for free shipping, they'll always give it to you. |
