(eBay Daily Deal) Nokia C3 Qwerty Smartphone for AT&T - Refurb $69.99 shipped

BAD DEAL!

1. This is a dumb "smart phone". I'm not even sure how it qualifies as "smart". There's no touch screen, no apps available for it, etc.

2. Wal-Mart had these recently (I assume still do) for $59.99 as a "go phone". I can't find it online, but I know it was available in store. New, not refurb, with a $15 prepaid credit. Just swap out the SIM card and you're good to go.

3. I bought one of these from Wal-Mart, trying to find something for text messaging because I didn't like "virtual" keyboards. However, I returned it almost immediately when I realized how "non" smart this phone truly is.

So, my recommendation is not to buy it at all, but if you can't resist, go to Wal Mart and get it new and cheaper with return privs.

I don't think this is a "smartphone" at all. It's more in line with a messaging phone. And your qualification for a smartphone is sort of strange, I guess anything with a touchscreen and apps is a smartphone to you?? And there are apps for it, anything compatible with Symbian S40 will do, as long as some Java. Granted it's app collection is not up to par in comparison to other OS's, but seriously anyone who knows anything about mobile tech should know that S40 is not considered an actual OS. As well as the Nokia C line of phones, this included, are meant for those who want a feature rich phone, for a reasonable price (think C=cheap). But, I have to agree with you that this isn't that great of a deal, it is cheaper at Walmart as a prepaid phone, furthermore for $70 you can find something better that is not a refurb.
