Just like any phone with call waiting feature, you will see the phone blink (& a low beep). If you have caller id you will also see the name and number of the caller. You can press Flash to answer the other call while placing the first call on hold.

No - the phone adaptor only supports 110/120V input. You can always buy an adaptor that suits the country. As long as the output matches, it should work fine.

I had taken a Panasonic phone to India before and the caller id did work. However, you are right. The phone hardware is often not compatible with the Indian phone system and most of the phones I have taken havent lasted beyond a year.

As a side note. We have an existing Panasonic set w/o Bluetooth and enjoyed it for a few years. I recently purchased AT&T cordless set w/Bluetooth (model TL92420) from Costco - it's a real pain. Lack of features, unintuitive buttons, MIDI-based melodies from the old century, holders cannot be attached to the wall. Will exchange it for Panasonic without any doubts.

Your cell phone minutes would still be used, if you receive a call and pick the phone on ur Cordless handset. Just trying to figure out - the real use of it. Am I missing something ?

Yes - you could use the phone without a landline.

Just like that was a deal 6 months ago, this is a deal now. The going price for the phone is over $110 cheapest.

You are right - cell phone minutes are still being used. The phone just works like a bluetooth headset. You have the advantage of picking up the call from any of the 4 handsets and you have the advantage of using a much more louder speaker phone. Just a couple to think of.

For someone like me that works from home and uses the cell phone a lot, I find this a real handy phone.
