ok, all jokes aside, i'm looking for a 3.0 flash drive (yes i have a 3.0 on my laptop), but i've read reviews that some of these don't read/write at true 3.0 speeds. Anyone have this one or the AData?

I purchased the 16GB Adata USB 3.0 one and it transfers (read) around 30mbs on my x220 laptop and it is only has usb 2.0.

Well, I'm pretty sure the maximum speed of USB 3.0 is at least 400MB/s, which if that even exists as a flash drive, would probably be priced to at least $600. If it can read at 70MB/s with USB 3, then it exceeds the limits of USB 2.0. I don't know if the write speed is any faster or not than a comparable USB 2.0 drive like that Patriot that's on sale. |
