I had the 1 dvd+streaming package before they upped the rates. Unless one is incredibly motivated, I would guess they would be turning around 2-3 dvd's per month. So I got an apple tv for netflix, and rent the movies I want to see that aren't on netflix from itunes. And I guess that too won't be for long as netflix dramatically increases its streaming library.

I have that setup & have never seen anything like that. Having said that, I would not be shocked in the least if Comcast tried throttling Netflix.
http://www.reuters.com/article/20...5920110901 Netflix is a competing service, and Comcast has tried throttling bandwidth in the past to high traffic sites (P2P), and they were forced to remove this restriction by the courts. |

I canceled our video rentals from there. I just stuck to streaming, even though I could use hulu or some other client. I would stick to using redbox and the new block buster blue box thing for video rentals. But ya, I wish netflix didn't do that change. Total turn off.

Redbox is cheaper than Blockbuster video but spend get 2 and then 1 free. Cost $4 bucks
Red $1.20 for standard DVD and $1.50 for B-Ray. If you need a movie that's just came out then go to thse boxes. I like Netflix for streaming only I think it's a real pain to get the DVD by mail.Netflix I can watch anything I select for instant play on my Android Smart Phone or Tablets. On Windows 7 desktops, laptops and netbook. On HDTV using SONY Network Media Players. CrackleTV too. I've got rid of most of my cable TV channels down to HBO and STARZ and just about to get rid of the STARZ one. . When I ask for a tablet they shouldn't tell me to go into the pharmacy to get one!
