in case you haven't noticed, the USA is chock full of boneheaded buyers that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground

Not to mention big names that are uber-important to young buyers as in "hey dood, I just scored a 6 foot Monster cable from Bestbuy for $40.......it was 50% off.....shweeeeeet!"

Seems like this will be a TC given the posts on this thread so far, but... You all have mixed up analog and digital cables. Yes, digital cables make no difference your $200 monster HDMI looks the same as this $3 monoprice cable. But for analog it's a different story. I'm TDing because monster is a bad company, but the fact is that those of you that think that it makes no difference how the cable is constructed when you stick it in your wall, next to the electric lines and all the other conducting material...well... enjoy. But, yeah, monster is a bad company.
