In contrast to the frontpage deal with the groupon like savings at CanvasLifestyle.com I crosschecked some prices with costco:

I'm not sure of the quality or actual savings, but Costco seems to have prices that are at least $15 cheaper for similar sized prints. The saving would probably add up quick over many prints

Comparison:

Canvaslifestyle 12x16 gallery wrap = $69
Costco 12 x 16 gallery wrap = $34.99

CLS 20x30 = $130
Costco 20x30 = $69

CLS 48x16 = $170
Costco = $75

Now it does seem some CLS sizes can be cheaper than Costco, so it seems to make the better savings you have to pick and choose what you want. Shipping might also come into play but I don't have the time to check them all out.

18x24 - $54.99
16x32 - $64.99
20x30 - $69.99
24x32 - $72.99
16x48 - $74.99
30x30 - $129.99
30x40 - $169.99
40x60 - $329.99

I believe that your comparison is off. You're right that some of those come out cheaper from Costco, but it's only on the higher-cost items. For the FP deal, you're getting $85 credit for $30. So even though the 12x16 is "$69", you're only spending $30 OOP to get that, plus you would have another $15 in credit. (vs. spending $35 at Costco).

Yeah, if you're buying only one print (especially the smaller ones) that is true, but if you buy more than one or truly go for the largest sizes, then you see the savings.

And the $15 credit would require you to spend that extra on a full price print, or rather $15 off a higher full price.

You're totally right about that. It's probably cheaper to by the 2nd one at Costco, even though you're getting a $15 headstart with the FP deal.

Yeah, see how they try to sucker you in for that second print, lol.

But if you're going for a print that saves you more than $55, then buying straight from Costco will be cheaper even with the coupon.

Don't get me wrong though, CLS has more sizes overall than Costco does, so unless you can't compromise on size, Costco might be the way to go.

I ordered 3 of 18x24 canvas from ArtsCow.com for a total of $20 shipped with coupon code 1824CVAS (Exp. Date: 7 / 28 / 2011). Can't wait to see what the quality like. I ordered some photo books with Artscow before and very happy with the quality.
