Yeah, I saw this deal. I'm afraid to actually 'buy' a game on OnLive for fear if they ever lose the license to the game, I wouldn't be able to play it anymore. Kind of like when Netflix does for some of their streaming content. I've almost tried the $10 "PlayPack" subscription, but the graphics seem to be glitchy, laggy and looks like a bad video encode even though it's supposedly 720p at 60 fps (though it still looks choppy to me too).
I guess I can really tell on my 28" 1920x1200 monitor. My desktop is an Intel quad core q6700 at 2.66GHz, 8gb's ram and with an nVidia 260... my Laptop is an i5 quad core with a Radeon 5450 and 4gb's ram, which should also be more than plenty for OnLive. I have 12mbps cable internet, so I would assume it's fast enough since it meets the FAQ recommendation of 5+mbps.
I really want to like OnLive, I like the idea of not needing to install the games and being able to play the same game and continue where I left off on both my desktop and laptop. I like the 30 minute full game trials too. But for now the laggyness and glitchy graphics kill it for me.
