I believe it does. The confirmation e-mail they sent me says this:

I don't know about that as-is part... I've never ordered a refurb from these guys. From the initial e-mail they sent out regarding the condition of these units, it says:

Thermapens are rarely returned and so we almost never have enough units to hold an "Open Box Sale". We have finally collected a small number here (and from the factory in England) that for various reasons we will not sell as new units. Some have slightly damaged packaging, there are a few sales demos, a tiny number are returns and an even smaller number might be "refurbished" to like-new condition after very short term use.

All units in this sale will include instructions and the Thermapen User's Guidebook. All units are like-new and include the full warranty. All include a calibration certificate. In most cases, you won't be able to differentiate these from new stock. Only a limited number, in limited colors, are available. When they are gone, the offer expires.

Hi guys sorry for the TC .. but as a restaurant owner, I'd like to vouch for the RT600C model of the thermapen ($24.95 on Amazon.com - same brand just a lower model) .. The ONLY difference is that it doesn't fold up, the range goes up to 300 degrees instead of 500 (useless for me as I don't really think a thermapen is what I go to when I want an oven temperature - I only need it for food temps) and takes about 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds for the reading. It's also waterproof and dishwasher safe!

So unless you really need to spend more than double, or you really need the fold-up version, I'd save money and just get the RT600C model.

But a definite TU because this is the best price for this version!
