Discover Card Double cashback bonus on August 6

I got an email from Discover saying 'Get unlimited 2% Cashback Bonus* on back-to-school shopping and all other Discover purchases made on Saturday, August 6.'

*Sign up to earn 2% Cashback Bonus on any purchases made on 8/6/11. Purchases earning 2% Cashback Bonus will not count toward your total annual purchases to determine your tier level. Rewards are added to your Cashback Bonus account at the end of your billing period. See Cashback Bonus Program Terms and Conditions for further details about your reward program.

Discover Card Promotion ALL USERS - August 6th 2% CB on ALL Purchases

Hey all,

I called Discover today to see if they had any promotions, and they told me how they're going to have a "Back to School" promotion for one day only, August 6th, where everything you put on the card will receive 2% CB. The rep says any store, and any amount. Though I'd share that tidbit with everyone in case no one else knew (couldn't find it in the forums).

You can call to confirm - if you do so, please post!
