YES - there is a good reason to register even if you're totally different in heritage than Luca...and that's because there are many, many children and adults who need donors and can't find them. I registered and there is virtually no chance I'll be a match for Luca - though I'd love it - boy would I love it! However, I hope they do call me as a match for someone else so I can save their life and their family from going through the horrible experience that Luca's family is going through. Odds of finding an unrelated donor are 1 in 20,000 as it is...so we need as many donors as possible.

And thank you for the compliment about Luca being adorable -- his hugs are wonderful and his smiles are delicious as well -- I will pass your compliment on to his parents!
