force 3 series AFAIK are still causing issues for many users unless you are knowledgeable to troubleshoot and take the steps to make proper adjustments. i bought the 120GB version a month ago (1123 version) and have eliminated all but a boot issue after a few hours of troubleshooting; many others experience BSOD and other partition issues.
if you do not want to take the risk, don't buy this. |

I think those issues were limited to the higher capacity ones. The 60gb drives don't suffer from those issues from what I've read online, but then again, I'm not completely sure. Corsair definitely stands by its products though from what I've seen and heard, so I'll see how much of a gamble it turns out to be.

I desperately want one for my hackintosh build but these prices aren't dropping fast enough and the reliability of seemingly all of them are cause for concern. I'm considering the 64gb Kingston V100 at Costco for $65 AR ($90 at the store). Seems like a better deal but then again, it seems like any of these could crap out as soon as you open the box.

just wanted to say that 1.) I'm from NJ so I automatically think ur a good person 2.) Just installed a Kingston V100 and its exceeding expectations.  Resellers profiting off of a helpful site like Slickdeals is kinda like Big Pharm patenting/profiting off helpful medicine... it kinda sucks for the people its designed to help. |

From what I've seen, SSDs are not as reliable as hard drives. You buy SSDs for speed and if you do buy them, you should have a backup strategy for your files. Enjoy.
