Chase Freedom v. Amex Blue (Deals)

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with either one of these cards? I am looking to sign up for a credit card and these are both pretty good card if you want cashback.

5% quarterly bonus
1% cash back everything else

Amex Blue
$50 when you signup and mention a referral from a current Amex customer
2% cash back dept. stores
1% cash back on everything
insurance benefits
extended warranties
protection plan

Any thoughts as to which one has the edge?
