Certain colors of the Kelty FC 2.0 frame carrier are discounted down to $111.99 on Amazon, and there is a limited time point-of-checkout discount of $20 offered now too. These backpacks are awesome for people with little ones who love to hike. Kelty offers a lifetime warranty.

Someone posted a similar deal on the FC 3.0 a few weeks ago, but the 2.0 is the same as the 3.0 without a sunshade and a changing pad and less expensive. The sunshade is pretty worthless IMO.

Save an additional $20 at checkout on your $100 order of camping gear from Kelty, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack, Wenzel, and Ultimate Direction sold and shipped by Here's how (restrictions apply)

These packs revolutionized backpacking, implementing Kelty's ideas of a hipbelt and lighter aluminum frames. Soon, Kelty and his friends were easily able to extend their wilderness adventures. Today, Kelty's commitment to the outdoors is strong than ever. Including award-winning backpacks and child carriers, strong tents, and cozy sleeping bags, Kelty's equipment adds comfort to your outdoor adventure.

Based in Boulder, Colorado, the company uses the natural backdrop of the Rocky Mountains to test, create, and continually innovate within their diverse outdoor product families of Apex, Backcountry, Trail, Basecamp and KIDS gear. A five year old is in the weight range (50lb) but I can't imagine carrying that big of a kids around.

In the reviews they are talking about kids up to 2.5 and 32 lbs but I've never seen a kid that big in one of these. (have not seen a lot of them though).
