If you purchase online for in store pick-up, you should be charged for B&M ad prices. This can be great if you don't have alot of time to waste in the store. The ad prices listed are generally for in store purchase price only. The price you see on the link will not always be the price you pay in the store.
But items are sometimes available online for the same price as B&M and have free to very low shipping. Usually this will be software.

Buy online Pick up in store
You can use their online shopping method and chose IN-Store pick up and have your items picked out by their staff and ready to go at the counter. Your card is not charged by their system until you pick up your items (they give you up to 72 hours to pick up) and you get to pay the B&M (ad) price. The convenience factor on this is great but you are not guaranteed your items because Frys workers make lots of mistakes. If it's a popular items, you want to get there early to make sure you get your product.

Upgrade Competitive software rebates:
Upgrade competitive rebates can be done if you have a competitive or a previous version of the software. IF you do not have either, then you can buy multiple of the same type of software. For example, if you buy Kaspersky along with any other AV software you can use one software purchased this week towards upgrade/competitive rebate for the other. Same with video editing software or utilities software.

if you look it up in the audio and sound forums you will see that bias lighting is a legitimate thing. it's not a gimmick. there's good documentation on it. i thought it was a gimmick too but i was quickly shut down in an overclocking forum.

UPMIR = upgrade competitive rebate offer.
Some software companies will offer you 2 rebates on their software to make it free. First is the regular rebate and 2nd is the upgrade/competitive rebate. The UPMIR usually request you send it a copy of the CD or 1st page of the installation/user manual. So if you do not own any software of that type, you might not qualify. But if you can get a copy of the CD then you might be able to participate in the rebate offer.

This week, there are 3 anti virus that can be used as UPMIR against each other if you purchase at least 2 of them. And the 2 utility software can be used to off set each others UPMIR requirements. A few times a year during a good sale, Frys will also offer Video Editing software such as Corel Sony or Pinnacle at the same time and they can be used to to offset each others UPMIR.

So you asked if you get the money off during checkout. No, you will be paying full advertised price at the time of sale. You will need to send in both of the rebates for the Norton and Mcafee in order to get them for free. In the end, you'll have paid for 4 stamps, tax on sales price for these software.

I'm going to try since it's free and if it doesn't work, eh there goes 44 cent stamp and .40 cent in tax. I'd say it's worth 88 cents to see if this helps with eye strain at night.

While HDTVs have halo backlighting to help reduce the strain when watching movies in the dark, PC users must sometimes rely on DIY solutions like a lamp behind the monitor or expensive Gunnar Optiks glasses, if anything. Antec is looking to fill the void in the market (and in your darkly lit room) with its soundscience halo 6 LED bias lighting kit.
Simply, it's a 14.6-inch USB-powered LED light-strip that sticks to the back of your monitor and supports displays up to 24-inches; anything over that will likely block out the soundscience halo's glow. IDK. I guess it's worth a try. Philip's does have their Ambilight feature.

One thing that wasn't clear in the description is the USB attachment. Is this just for power or is there a driver that changes bias intensity based on screen content?
