Taking my computer since it's imperative that I find time to study, so I will check in on you all. Impress me with your JF, dipes, and razor hauls this week!

Would it be weird for me to contact a local photographer and ask him/her to meet us on the beach for a casual photo session?

Where are you guys going on vacay? Come on over to my side of the state and I'll meet you at the beach and take your pic. Smilie

I think I'm going to buy a sewing machine. I'm scared to death to learn how to use it since I've never EVER used one before. Do any of you freaks sew? Is it hard to learn how to use the machine? I just don't want to spend the money and then be a complete fail when it comes to learning how to actually use it... and there's no one I know around here who can help me.

Sorry about your envelope! I have left mine on the shelves in T several times before...usually I realize it once it's time to go to the registers and it's super fun to spend more time in the store retracing my steps to find it. Nono

My dad offered to babysit last night so that DH and I could go out. It was kind of last minute thing and we missed all of the movie start times by about 10 minutes and so DH suggested we go to T and then for a drink/app. Man after my own heart! It was a necessary trip to T, as I forgot some things for our vacation... used about 25 coupons and I thanked my New Team Member cashier for being so patient with all my Qs near closing time and she said, Oh that's nothing compared to last night. A Women used so many coupons that her total went to less than $1 and then she tried to use her cc and it was declined for $0.30." She told me that most of her coupons were beepers too. Ugh. This is my favorite store Frown

Anyone else excited for Cars 2? Found a TP at Walgreens for a free Cars backpack with $10 cars purchase. Nice rebate to go with the Cars/Kelloggs TQs. I am sure there will be a Kelloggs deal at T in the next couple of weeks.
We have been watching the movie trailer on YouTube over.and.over. speaking of youtube, have you all seen this? Ultimate Dog Tease [youtube.com]

Packing for our trip. Leaving tonight... Whee
Doh I am SUCH a scatterbrain!! I have gotten 3 of the cars so far and never even thought about that rebate. I will definitely keep that in mind, though - my son is getting them in the order they are on the back of the package. Teehee Yes, he's my special one. We have the first 3, and next up is Holly Swiftwell. Every time we get in the van, he asks, "Mom, can we go to Target and get Holly Swiftwell?"

And no, I don't think that would be weird at all. My best friend is a photographer and she loves getting asked to any shoot, no matter what it is.

Sewing isn't difficult. The only difficult part is getting the machine set up, needle threaded, etc. But I'm sure there are videos on youtube that will show you step by step how to do that. And you seem like a very crafty person, so the "complete fail" should not worry you at all. shake head

I think JoAnns (and other craft stores) have basic machine operation classes. It really is easy once you get the hang of it. Home Economics was mandatory back in my day (long ago and far away, probably another galaxy) and we weren't passed until we could cook, sew and houseclean. (had to keep the men folk happy vomit) Stick Out Tongue I made the ugliest jumper in purple... just call me Barney. Embarrassment

It doesn't seem that hard, but I don't want to assume. I basically just want to be able to sew some straight lines. Nothing too fancy.

DH and I are now arguing about how is family is a bunch of idiots... or at least that's my side of the story.

We are going to Anna Maria Island. Our family has a small house on the bay, so we can do it on the cheap but still experience an "island" getaway. We love it there-- I've been going since birth and love that I can share it with DH and the boys. Plus, it's not unusual to find a handful of starfish and a bucket-full of sand dollars each day! bounce

I would love for you to take our picture some time! Hopefully we'll get to ST. Augustine and the Jax zoo soon.

I totally have faith in you as a sewer. I can hardly sew a button back on, but you're one of the most creative people I know! Smilie

I survived the Skillet concert last night, but almost didn't survive the 1st part of the day. The concert was at an amusement/water park. We immediately got in the wave pool to cool off. They turned on the waves right as we got in.woot We made our way past the crowd (& WAY past the red line that says "Do not cross if you can't swim.") to the extreme deep end where there were few people. A young man gets my attention & asks if I can help him bc he can't swim.OMG I didn't know if he was serious, but he immediately starts going under, & I'm trying to pull him up & to where we can touch. He latches onto me w/ a death grip, & pulls us both under. I make a little headway, & he swamps us both again. I felt bad, but I shoved him really hard off me, & toward the shallow end. As I'm getting back to him, I *finally* get the lifeguard's attention. He immediately shuts off the wave pool & jumps in & reaches the guy before he pulls me under again.
I've never gotten the waves shut off before.shake head I hope I don't have to again.Embarrassment

The sewing machine I got at Target a couple of years ago actually came with an instructional video. Plus, I'm sure you could rent videos at the library, as well as books on the subject. Someone suggested youtube, which is also a good idea. It's all really very easy. I get a little frustrated when trying to remember how to insert the bobbin (which way the thread goes) and trying to thread the needle with my *&^% eyesight. But other than that, all is good.

I used to live on AMI and worked at the Sandbar for a summer when I was younger. It's really really beautiful there. One of my favorite things in the world is Breakfast from the Gulf Drive Cafe yummy

Aww thank you!!

Please tell me I don't need to buy more body wash from B&BW. Semi-annual sale starts later this week, I don't neeeeedddd to order under the buy 3, get 3 free promo because I'm sure they will have something similar at some point in June.

And, so no new TQ today? I was hoping we would get a new JF root awakenings tq. One local paper didn't have any JF mq today, the other had the full repair and hair color mq but that's the $2.50 paper so not planning to buy several papers for those two mq. Also, saw it reported in deals that the Huggies is prompting on two.
.
I need to go to BBW.. I saw that they were having the B3G3 plus there was a printable coupon.. and I have a GC.. but, I may just wait til the June sale..

Funny you mentioned the JF.. I went tonight and got 6 bottles.. the repair kind was basically sold out already, took the last 2, and grabbed a frizz kind too.. handed over my TQ for the repair and the one for the regular.. I totally did not know the TQ was expired.. When I handed it over, it beeped "coupon invalid".. cashier was confused as I was and she just scanned the repair coupon extra times and k1.. I didn't think too much about it when I got home, but when I read your post, I went to check cause I was going to tell you there was a coupon that would work on the root awakenings, but I just noticed they expired yesterday.. It was honestly as mistake, but I thought we used to get a 1 day grace period before the coupon beeped expired? Won't be using that one again!

Quote from HDDVDTV :
I did $200. Just one day and didn't have but $300 worth of stuff. I am low on stock now. I can only sell so much Body Wash and that is what I have most of now.
I have stock.. just too busy/lazy to do the sale.. Want to come sell my stuff? I will give you a cut Wink

I agree with flug.. you seem like a crafty person, so you will probably be great. I got a machine about 10 years ago and never could figure out how to thread the bobbin Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) but, it may have just been the machine cause my sister knows how to sew and had a very difficult time with it.. I finally gave up!

Okay, so I have never even heard of Anna Maria island until this week. One of my good friends just headed there for vacation 2 days ago.. I am jealous.. I would love and island getaway.. How is it price wise to stay there?

Glad you were okay.. that is a scary feeling. I remember when I was a teen getting in one of those wave pools and getting up near the wall and the waves kept banging into me and I went under several times before managing to get away from that wall.

I went to target tonight for my coffee creamer.. was kinda disappointed cause they didn't have the kind I wanted.. but, decided to shop anyway Teehee I learned a few things.. TGIF deal definitely varies from store to store.. It works fine at my closest store, but this one didn't ring on special.. my PF makeup scanned higher than shelf tag and I didn't notice until I left.. and I missed a few coupons.. totally forgot to put one in the stack, and the other isn't showing on my receipt, but may be there if I add the totals up.. It was a fairly good run, although could have been a little better!

I have an idea for more plantings along that line. Now if Bomgaars would just give me a couple hundred dollars in plants, I could have some dirty fun.
i wish i could give you my lavender plants. when i bought them them they were small plants less than a foot tall in gallon pots and i put them on either side of my mailbox post. couple yrs ago verizon temporarily dug them up in jan to run fiber optic cable. i thought they might kill them digging them up in the middle of the winter. but since then they've gotten so huge! now they are right up under the mailbox and together about 4-5 ft around. and the bumble bees absolutely love the flowers! and scare the mailman!!! i have to move them and maybe give them away this yr but i have not figured out where....

I have left my pouch and CD zippered holder more than once. I have always been able to go back and find it.
i keep all my coupon and circulars in a canvas tote and stick everything in there when i'm shopping. peelies and hangtags get stuck in there if i find any and i jam my store envie in there after i take out all my q's and then my receipt after paying. if i'm bringing in reusable bags i stick my canvas tote inside so i hopefully don't get profiled as the coupon lady w/ the white canvas tote.

it's hard to forget to take it out of the cart when i load everything into the car. it's weird but i feel disturbed when i stick it in the trunk w/ my purchases and i've pulled over a few times to get it out of the trunk and put it in the passenger seat.

Quote from getgreen09 :
one already exists by the way. it's called "carry a big purse" LMAO
no seriously. i carry the purse, put it in the top rack of the cart and have it somewhat open with the coupon envelopes lying within easy reach. i sort as i shop and put the qs into my wallet or into a folded pc of paper with my transaction info listed. done. the coupon envelopes (small plastic accordion folders really, for a buck from dollar tree) never leave the confines of my purse, so they're never going anywhere i can't find em.
i had a nice big work type bag that i was using to carry everything and i used to stick it in the child's seat of the shopping cart. but after a few times i got afraid i would get purse snatched while perusing clearance endcaps while bending over to check out stuff. i see reports every once in awhile.

so now i put my canvas coupon tote in the child's seat and keep my purse on me at all times.

Quote from getgreen09 :
set up an HD forum deal alert for HP printer. select a daily digest PM or email so you get one message a day listing the threads started that day. staples has deals on em all the time. you can get em for free or near free.

epson specializes in high end photo printers (they have machines that cost 30,000 bucks and up) and their consumer line is modeled after that idea. you're not going to get cheap epson ink. i'd hang on to the epson for good photo printing, or resume printing or such and use an HP for your workhorse needs. Big Grin
i recommend a black and white laser printer. the toner lasts a really long time. i don't know about the new ones but i have an about 18 yr old hand-me-down hp laser printer from my dad that is an amazing workhorse. it hardly ever jams and just keeps churning out them coupons.

Quote from gt6mk31 :
Probably. Hit a dollar store and buy a couple. I've used them for 2 years and they've worked. I don't know why now all of a sudden some birds are walking right over them. The poop bombs are not reappearing -- at least so far. I think I'm going to pick up a few more and move them around.

The honeysuckle, however, is lovely, greens right back up and is already just about to start blooming -- lots of flower buds that should open in the next few days. And, it blooms all summer.
i got a couple snakes from last yrs summer mini seasonal clearance 90% off. do you think it will keep the birds from poop bombing my driveway occasionally?

the smell of honeysuckle blooming is amazing!

I was going to catch up in here but only made it through a couple pages. Of course - it is almost 4 am.

Classes start tomorrow. Good thing my first class is a 4 pm.

I almost forgot to take my stuff out of my cart tonight. (I did have my coupons through). A student from last semester yelled across the parking lot at me - and started talking to her - and then got in my car and started to leave.....then I noticed my cart was sitting out in the middle of the parking lot.... I decided to go put it away... then I noticed my STUFF was still in the cart. EEK!

I agree on the honeysuckle. My husband planted a tiny little piece of it by our fence - and it just keeps growing. My whole yard smells WONDERFUL!!!

I usually pick some of the blooms and bring them in the house - but there are some birds living in there that aren't too receptive to the idea this year. I picked a couple and they ZOOMED out. And then they started flying around me. So I guess they have a nest in there.

Hello!!!

I got a bag of the coconut M&Ms at Walgreens tonight. They were pretty yummy... but I had trouble actually eating the green ones. It just somehow seemed so...wrong..

The funny thing was when I finally started eating the green ones.... it was like I could hear you...telling me they really weren't a vegetable - and what kind of vegetables I should eat - and which ones are best - and where to get them...

Secret GG's haunting my M&Ms
