I've confirmed this deal is valid (at least for the Austin, TX Fry's location). Good price!

The 5500 model is $600 from Amazon...which isn't much more after tax for most people. It's 120hz and includes wifi and the motion remote. Contrast is also 5M vs 3M.

I don't see that deal on Amazon.... link? The cheapest I see the 5500 model for is $720.

It's back to $690, or $620ish with coupon.

I can confirm this for the Downers Grove, IL store. They had one on display listed for $499. I asked about it and they said they were out of stock, and expecting more in about 10-15 days. He said you could get a rain check on it and secure the price and get it when it comes back in stock. Also, he said they couldn't sell the display model
