Putting SD power into better use?
I'm always fascinated by the lightning speed of some of the SDers who could find slick deals on the net on a hourly basis. Ever thought about putting that kind of power into investing purposes?
I'm relatively new to stocks trading, but I have learned that being able to find out the latest positive news of a stock is the key to making profits in day-tradings. For example, let's look at SNCR [google.com]. Its earnings release was released yesterday afternoon after the market was closed at 4PM ET. The results was positive, and a bunch of early-birds jumped on it quickly, and this morning a group of late-comers came by and followed, making this stock rose ~ 20% in less than one day. That's 20% profits of whatever you were willing to put in it!
If you have follow your portfolio closely, sure you would know the latest earning releases results of your stocks and be able to catch the train easily, but that's ONLY IF they are positive, and there are many many stocks out there in which their earnings release are positive, but I just can't follow them all, and I don't think anyone else, except full-time investors, can.
I'd like to know if there is a discussion forum or website out there that kinda alerts or recommends you to like, "hurry, buy this stock now!" I did find stockstobuy.org [stockstobuy.org], but I'll have to look into that.
Currently, my little own way is to basically scan the list [yahoo.com] of stocks earnings release dates, hand-pick out a few of them that are going up-trend overall throughout the year, and then follow their news closely using Google during post-market hours, and stand-by to pull the trigger at any minute. But I'm sure there are better, more efficient ways to do this, that's why I'm here seeking some love from you all SDers now!
