Now, you say Lowe's mover's coupon. Has anyone gotten Home Depot to use the Lowe's coupon? If so, let me know. I have to buy $1k in tile from HD and Lowe's doesn't carry it.

I use the Lowe's 10% coupons at Home Depot ALL the time. Whenever I get a printable one from Lowe's I'll just print 10 or so copies. Use one at Lowe's and the rest at HD. Also worth noting that when Lowe's sends you a printable coupon, the expiration date is in the URL and is easily changed so the coupon it generates has whatever expiration date you want (so I heard... ). Note that this doesn't change anything for using it at Lowe's, only makes HD think it hasn't expired even if it has.

HOWEVER...I've read there are many HD managers who have started refusing to accept them. That has not been the case at any of the 3 locations around me.

I have never had a problem using the Lowes 10% from the change of address kit at the PO. I don't know if the current one still has the coupon though.

I have only once however had any luck using the Harbor Freight 20% coupon. But in metro NY/NJ no has heard of HF. I suspect if I tried in Buffalo (or anywhere they have a lot of HF) I would have better luck.

Wow, this just made my day. I have a HD right down the street and the Lowes is about 20 min away. Looks like my local HD is going to start knowing me as the "Lowes Coupon Guy".

BTW, nice trick with the expiration date. Someone a few months back posted this trick about getting more coupons that you can use for online purchases:

You always run the risk of that "new" code being one that was generated for someone else and has already been used. I'd never read that trick, though. Either way, I'll stick to the rigged coupon method until my local HD's stop accepting Lowe's coupons printed at home. Chances are unless it's a specific brand name you're looking for (mostly applies to lawn/garden equipment) and you can find it at Lowe's, it's probably at HD, too.

if you can get either of them to accept the others coupon they will have no way of telling if code has been used because it will not be their system to verify against. i also think there is a lil trick w lowes where you change the end of the web address to change exp. date

How reliable/nationwide are HD clearance prices? I haven't had much experience there but if I could grab this for <$40, it'd be a great project.

Given the advances in serial port and RSS tech, if they can stream Twitter feeds to LED signs, they should be able to rig up scores pretty easily now..

Did you read the other posts? I already mentioned the expiration date thing and alluded to the fact that coupons for one work at the other. And my comment about the codes being used already was specific to the trick the previous poster mentioned about changing digits to get a *valid* code...which tells me they were planning on using it at Lowe's and not HD, otherwise you wouldn't need a *valid* code in the first place.

OP can you provide the UPC from the box.

759423 is an internet only SKU that can't search inventory in the store.

How many were at Delran ?

all the HD stores by me in NJ will only take lowes coupons if they are "REAL" official coupons, they will not take anything printed off your home computer or copier.

I assume there is a way with these signs, I have two betabrite signs in my man cave that stream whatever RSS feed, twitter feed, or anything else I would like using a serial port interface and some software I found (will need to look up the name of the software)

See attached picture.. These were sold as used ATM signs on Ebay with LED attached, and I made them into a Mylar backlight thanks to a great website with a step by step description on how to modify it.
