Just got back from Ralphs
I bought 6 Begging strips and 2 cans of Alpo for 89 cents each I only had 3 coupons. I got a $3.00 cat. When I was there I thought the deal was buy 25 get 5 dollar cat. So that is why I got 2 cans of dogfood to put my total over over 25 dollars.
Someone was asking for a price check on the kandoo wipes, they were 1.99.

A few freebies
Tic-tacs are still 1.00 so free after .75 mfr q doubled
Crest toothpaste 1.00 free after .50 mfr q doubled, does anyone know if cat is still going on? I only got 1 tube, so most likely the cat is still going on! lol
Gum toothbrushes and flossers are 1.00, there is a coupon for .55/1 coming out on Sunday. I already have some of the coupons. I got a toothbrush for free after .55 mfr q doubled.

I forgot to check and see if Dawn was still on sale for 1.00, does anyone know ?
Crest CAT deal is over and Dawn is no longer 1.00

Jennifer Freeman? She isn't located in California, correct? Seems weird to have someone out of state that has no idea about Southern California deals, ect. be a guest speaker.

Did you go last night?!? JUST KIDDING. The cats are luvin the snacks from "auntie and uncle", they chomp on them every single night!

On a side note: I got my renewal for the LA Times for the glorious rate of $59.28 for 6 papers, same price, wootwootwootwoot They should give me a commission since my neighbors ordered as well.

ETA: OC Register had a class as well in June:
What: Maximum couponing class
Where: Orange County Register Hoiles Auditorium, 625 N. Grand Ave. Santa Ana 92701.
When: Thurs. June 16, 7-8 p.m.
Cost: Free
I think that is who I read was there.
Nope, didn't go! You never picked me up to car-pool....LMAO
Ahhhhhhh Auntie to the kitties!
Good to hear the renewal rate will still be $9.88 on The Times.

What code did you use for the LA times subscription or was this special due to a renewal?
It was a renewal for her $9.88 promo from last year.
Quote from jadenchick View Post :
I don't know if it was a special per say it seems like they just continued to charge me the same rate when I used a promo code. The promo code I would assume is now expired as its been a year. I don't know if they have any current ones. It was $9.88/yr.

Found this one please REP CountryFan, http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3066777
Code: 900929
That code expired. Haven't found a new one in awhile.

I believe she lives in Las Vegas. She spoke mostly about how she got into couponing and her experience on the Extreme Couponing show. She didn't handle the instruction portion of the workshop - Shannon Jones from GrocerySmarts.com did. The coupon tips were not specific to Southern California. It was a basic workshop on how to save money by using coupons.

Especially since all these people from EC live in states with stores that double/triple crazy and unlimited # of coupons. I'm sorry, we could never obtain 99% savings on bills with hundreds of items...ugh. That show makes me so mad.
Actually, Jennifer Freeman and the other speaker Shannon Jones (from GrocerySmarts.com) live in Las Vegas and said their stores don't double coupons. They don't even get the RedPlum or P&G BrandSaver in their newspapers, only SmartSource.

Check out the website GrocerySmarts.com or for a faster link to the Southern California stores, UTsmartbuys.com. I think it's a useful resource for matching coupons and sale prices. It's not the only website that does it, but it's free and I'm happy to have the site as an available resource.

My comment was more directed towards the EC show in general, not Jennifer Freeman specifically. I probably missed that episode. But every other episode that I believe I have watched by accident has featured someone with an entire bucket of coupons that all doubled, a feat which I was merely pointing out is impossible to do in my immediate vicinity as the stores here might, on a good day, double up to 4 totally different coupons, and only up to 1$. I guess I could go through the line 50 times to get my ultra epic savings...but I think they would notice!

Another Kohl's $10 off $30 (purple) peelie on the front cover of the L.A. Times today. I guess $10 off $30 rather than $10 off $20 is their new norm (which will keep me out of Kohl's). Third time in a row now. At least JC Penney's coupon that started today, again, is still $10 off $25....
Per a neighbor's daughter works at Kohls, many of the Kohl's manager are unhappy with $10/$20. People are getting several coupons, buying minimum plus 30% or 20%.

The beggin strip CAT at Ralphs didn't print for me this morning, the green light was on. I don't know if they turned the deal off early, changed it to where you actually need to "purchase" over $30 before coupons or if there was just something wrong with the CAT machine. I didn't return the product or try it again.
