Nice price but i'm waiting for the new quad core android tablets...
I dont get it, why would you even need a dual let alone a quad core for a tablet when there is so many limitations on what the principle appeal for them are. The biggest challenge seems to be running flash on browser, and single core units can do that easily. Besides that everything on marketplace seems to cater to a low end user experience. Am I missing something?
My point is that the quad core are just round the corner and prices will fall consideraly.....
Really? And Samsung cant sell the GT in Europe and the price still so high here.

I got in on the Staples deal and paid almost exactly this figure. At times I wish I had bought something less expensive, but that's really because I haven't had time to use this thing enough to justify spending about what an ok laptop costs nowadays. Yes yes I know it's not supposed to be a laptop.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the form factor, the ergonomics, and the screen quality. I had one battery hiccup which hasn't recurred so I hope that's all it was, a hiccup.
As this seems to be the most expensive non-Apple tab out there today I'd advise those looking to buy it to consider how much they'd use it, and if they still want to go ahead, then do so and not worry about it. It is the best (many consider it superior to iPad2 also) Android out there IMO. People carp about its lack of connectivity but this need will vary by individual, so it's another area you need to think about.
If you value a really nice screen with bright vibrant colors (some say too bright, I say you can never be too bright), then this is the one. If you want to spend less there are other choices which will get you close(ish). I also liked the Color Nook, which I handled for the first time after buying the Tab, and liked it a lot. I might buy it as well, for someone else in the family. It is smaller of course, so you have to like that part.
