got this card in the mail today....

"Thank you for choosing AT&T We sincerely hope you are enjoying your U-verse experience, and look forward to bringing you the very best in entertainment services

Free additional Receiver 12 month offer: AT&T is making this offer available to selected customers through 1/31/12. This offer requires a 1 year term commitment to retain Uverse TV services. An early termination fee of up to 84 dollars may apply if U-verse TV serice is cancelled before the end of the term. A credit equal to the cost of additional recievers associated with the account will be applied to the monthly bill. After 12 months receiver(s) will be biller at the exisiting standard rate unless cancelled and receivers are returned by the end of the terms to AT&T"

I currently have the DVR and two receivers. I didn't really want another receiver, so I called 1-800-288-2020 and spoke with "Debbie" I told her that I was hoping they could just give me a one year credit for one of the existing receivers I have. She viewed my account and said I was elegible for 2 receivers, and was able to credit both of them for 12 months; 7 bucks each, 14 a month total, 168 saved over a year!

So heads up, if you have U-verse TV- it's worth a call to see if you can get this.

Not worth it if you have to sign a 1 year committment because Uverse Sucks! Just about everything about it is worse than DirecTV. I'm stuck with it because of my location, but can't wait to drop it when I move soon.

I tried to get them to do this for me since I was planning on sending back a receiver that we don't use anyway. No go. They said it was for select customers and I guess I wasn't good enough.

This man speaks the truth. I had Uverse back at my old location and the speed they advertised will not be the speed you get. I was only given 3/5 of the speed that was promised to me. So glad my contract ended with them...

I love Uverse. It sure beats Cable, specially charter cable. Not to mention it is considerably cheaper. Those interested in the service should know that Att does not offer any specific uverse coupon codes for their television service. I should you know since I have searched all over the net. They do however offer $300-$350, depending on when you get the service. Coupon/deal sites such as rickscouponpicks on their uverse coupon code page [rickscouponpicks.com], magic coupons, or even slick deals offer a direct link to the offer page.

Make sure, you also call in and talk to a representative in order to get other free deals that that may offer, I called in and received a 3 month free HBO subscription. No big deal but it doesn't hurt either.

UVerse agreed to give me a receiver for free over the phone. However, when I got my next bill, the price INCREASED by $14.

They gave me the receiver for free, but then they said that getting the free receiver changed the other promotion on my account (I had U100 + 12mBPS for $110/mo).

When I called to change it back, they said that the promotion was no longer available, so they decided to give me a special discount of $5/mo.

Now, Im paying $118/mo for U100 + 12mbps Internet.

Their Billing and Customer Service departments are so damn stupid. Dont mess with it.

Is AT&T's pricing regional? Im paying ~$110 a month for U200, HD DVR and 18mbps internet, seems like you should be paying less than what you are...

It shouldnt be. I should note that I have 4 TVs in my home (Yes, I have a DVR as well, but no HD). And the price Im paying is for everything (including Tax).

Their billing department is very messed up. Also, the CS reps will not give you their name or number so you cant even complain about them. I have submitted a request to BBB to discuss how they are billing me, but Im not expecting a quick resolution any time soon
