Actually, my big problem right now is shoes.

The first prize I ever won (after Marlboro, of course) was a $50 GC to an online shoe store. My sister LOVES shoes, so I gave it to her. She bought a pair of sandals that she'd seen and really really wanted at an outlet about 6 months earlier, but they'd cost about $100. She got them online for $64, so only had to fork out $14 for something she truly wanted.

Her son, the one with a wife now in possession of a Valentino wristlet, was visiting from IL, saw the sandals and said he had the same brand and loved them. My sister told him how I'd won the GC for her and her son's son asked if I could win a GC for him so he could get the same sandals too. The kid is maybe 12 years old. Linda said she'd ask me to try.

So, I started entering contests for boy's shoes, size 9. Welllllllllll…….my sister was telling her daughter's son about her son's son's request, and that kid asked to be put "on the shoe list" too. My sister was scared to tell me what happened but was afraid that the second boy would mention it at some point so she explained what happened and promised faithfully that she would never tell that story to anybody else in the whole wide world, but could I please try to get size 10 ½ shoes too.

I enter those 2 click shoe contests for Eastbay and Championship and something else daily. I use one email for size 9 and another for size 10 ½. Takes a few minutes for all of them. I also enter any other contest that gives shoes. But I warned my sister that if I get another GC, SHE'D have to decide who gets what.

Sooooooooo…..remember the clown shoes that turned out to be the correct size for my niece? I gave them to my sister, along with 7 T-shirts I'd gotten, plus the El Monterey hoodie that I decided was just toooooo red for me, plus a bunch of other stuff, and she brought some of it over to her daughter's the other day. I received the following email from her:

"When I got there, I gave T her shoes and she loved them!! J (also known as size 10 ½ ) loved them, too. She wore them all night.

Then M (another of my niece T's sons) asked T how she got them. So she told him. And he told me he wanted to be on the "shoe list," too.
I DID NOT TELL HIM ABOUT THE SHOES. I TOLD NO ONE ABOUT THE SHOES. I don't tell that story anymore...
M wants size 12 1/2. Any shoe.

P (my niece's husband) loved his golf club shaft cover (I got that for free in a giveaway). About an hour after he took it, I went into the kitchen to get a drink and I saw him in the backyard with his new golf club shaft cover on his club, and he was hitting golf balls. It was SO cute!

P wanted the T-shirts and loves them even though they are big for him. He was happy to have new shirts. He says he puts them on after work, after he takes a shower, and likes having a bigger shirt on (I guess while he dries).

T liked the red sweatshirt, too. I think she's keeping it for herself."

I ended up having to set up an entirely new email address for M's entries in all those shoe contests. I'll probably never win another pair of shoes, but I'm being a good aunt and making the effort. What scares me is, there are more kids out there who haven't heard the story yet. And the adults are out there too. I'm starting to hate shoes.

Thanks to the Funny Farm or I would have missed out on this one!

You just need to explain sweetie, that it just isn't possible to win that many shoes or just stop playing for shoes. And leave it as is
I think I would snap on the DINGDANG person that put in requests for me to win You get what I win, which hasn't been much until lately I do try to split up the winnings between them though

Have you done Pepsithrowback yet??? I don't know what to say about that
