HP Touchpad to Touchpad skype video quality?

Many reviews point out poor 'outgoing' skype video quality. Is this the same for touchpad to touchpad skype calls? After software update?

Also, does skype run in the background to recieve calls even when the unit is sleeping?

Strange, it is a not the best quality for me but I didn't think it was terrible (as long as I hold it still). Also, to answer the OP's question, if you have your skype account setup, whenever your TP is on, others will see you as "available" and you will be able to receive calls.

I suspect you are seeing the effects of outdated webOS (and crappy webcam).......I tried skyping between touchpad and several versions of skype on a laptop. Version 5.3 seemed to do the best. I couldn't receive video FROM the touchpad on anything below 5 and on the latest 5.5. Could just be my laptop, but I wondered, since webOS is basically a conduit to 3rd party (2nd party, idk) services, what's going to happen when gchat, gmail, skype, etc, move forward with performance and security changes? Without webOS updates, will this thing really become a brick?????
