HP Touchpad Wi-Fi setup help
I'm setting up my HP Touchpad for the first time, and I got to the Wi-Fi Setup screen. Well, its recognizing my network, but when I try to enter in the WEP (password?) it says - Unable to connect. Try again.I think I'm doing this right... but its very frustrating. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Couponer and WWE fan. Quite a combination!  CM Punk = Best in the world! |

WEP? Sounds like you need to change your authentication type to whatever your router is. Probably WPA or WPA2. Doubt its WEP. If your router is WEP, you need to change it. I don't think the Touchpad supports WEP.

May want to check and see if the Touchpad supports WEP.

It doesn't say "Password" anywhere in my router settings.

Would help if you told us what router model you have. But, generic reponse is that you are looking for "WEP key", "security key", or something similar.

This sounds like an ISP provided device which has the WEP key attached to the router itself. Like I said above, check the OS version.

We had this bug and discussed it on here before. Don't use wep, use wpa or it wont work. Don't know if anyone found a workaround with wep, but the easy solution was wpa.
