no it's not way overpriced. Have the same case for my transformer. I'll take it any day over any of the cheap pleather ones with the big encapsulating bezels. Though someone said in a precentral thread that it didn't fit well. Didn't think they shipped yet, but what do I know. It's a little thicker than the hp case. So far so good with the HP, but i'm waiting for the gapping to start as some have reported. If you want the slimmest case possible, go with the HP. If you like the leather look you shouldn't go wrong with this one. And it's the same price whether it's under Case, rooCase or Technocell.

It is funny that people talk bad about this case and give thumbs down when they don't have one in their hands. Just got two and they fit perfect. Everything is available, such as camera, volume, and power button. Swiping is no problem. Is it the least expensive? No. Did I spend hours of my time trying to get a cheap $5.00 model? No. Does it do what I want? Yes. Thanks op, you did me and my wife a big favor. Let the cheap shots begin. :-)

The reason I give thumb down is because the price is 10 usd more than the Poetic one. Of course you have to wait for 5 day if you decide to order from Poetic. Poetic has the same case to preorder for 21.95 usd + FS.

tough to argue there. These cases are sold by Asian wholesalers so any company can buy and resell. The case is a good design hence there are about 4 case companies selling them. Optic must have bought a ton because I didn't see them for much less than $16/ea in quantity.

Are you ready to buy 1000 of them and resell the rest or have 1000 friends with touchpads? That's a wholesale price for actual resellers who are buying in quantity, not the every day consumer.
