If you buy it, you may want to update the touch pad drivers if you experience freezes/ slowdowns (ie. ~45 second delays for anything you try to do). See http://slickdeals.net/forums/show...?t=3155298 for more information.

the hardware is top-notch,it looks they're using the same case/parts for some higher end models. do a search for ASUS K53* and have a look. |

Nice deal. Was gonna pull the trigger but will wait for Sunday's OM $50 off laptops. They have a Toshiba with the same CPU/4GB/500GB for roughly 350 after tax. No wait time. $299 is hot for this though.
