You should really load ICS and try it out. Its really simple and it is the best of both worlds. I only loaded webos when I initially got the tp and never looked back. Much like rooting my nook color.

I don't know what preware ...do we have to download that?
Evidently you don't already have preware, which is needed to get that PulseAudio Restarter.
I'm guessing that you decided to stay with a stock TP and didn't want to do all the fancy shmancy tweak stuff, so this is just a short note to say that if you do install Preware, you could install the PulseAudio only and it doesn't commit you to any other modifications or tweaks.

Does anyone know if you can display videos/movies in Exhibition mode?
If yes, what format is supported?
I know you can display pictures and it works but i can't seem to get videos/movies to work.

It is my experience and opinion that you CANNOT play video in exhibition mode, except by using internet sources like webonEX or Glympse, watching things like youtube, but no actual video files of your own.

Did you ever get around to installing preware and the PulseAudioRestarter?
In case that it sounds complicated or risky, allow me to give a brief.
Preware is only a gateway to adjustments, modifications, apps that are not in the regular app store, etc. webOS is similar to the iPad's operating system, in that it doesn't give you much access to the OS itself. The concept is based on the fact that most people have no idea how to improve or personalize a system and they land up screwing it up, just as many people do with Windows machines.

It's as simple as downloading webosquickinstall, installing it with your TP plugged into the computer. In order to make the TP receptive to the preware program, it requires being put into a certain mode, in this case, it's called developer mode.
It's as simple as typing a password of sorts, right on the TP's homepage, webos20090606.
That's all there is to it.
Once that is done, you install preware onto the TP with the webosquickinstall program.

In short, plug TP into PC, type in webos20090606, download webosquickinstall, install it, then choose preware from the list and install it, and voila, you have the preware program on your TP.
Now you can open the preware program on your TP and choose whichever app or mod you like.
There are tons of lists out there on the internet of recommended mods, but in your case, you would install the PulseAudioRestarter and see if it can save you from rebooting each time the audio goes whacky.

I have spent 6 hours today trying to figure this out because I'm not a computer novice and I'm clueless why this isn't work. please help!

I followed this instructions for mod9 to get android and everything is flawless until I get to this part :
"enter: novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2"

It keeps telling me it cannot find server in command prompt. WTF?

I've tried downloading novacom again, I've tried restarting my computer, I've tried everything that I could google. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? novacom shows up in my directory in that folder so I know is there! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

You probably missed the last line of the instruction guide that said "now repeat this 4584957828 times"

It certainly has been stable on my machine and that of approx 10 others (friends).
The only thing right now is that we don't have drivers for the webcam and mike yet.
If you need instructions, post it in the Android on Touchpad thread.
