Good idea, I was hoping for some good support on this from the community. Anyone try other brands of bluetooth keyboards or other BT accesories with this? I doubt it's as proprietary as Sony and Apple.
I feel like I stole something lol. This thing is amazing for $149. I have it streaming Hulu and my movies/music on from my server via playon. I can access it directly from the browser and everything plays great! Playon transcodes so I can play .avi's without a problem, probably .mkv's too.
I paid $140 for a 16GB on CL and I still feel like I got a great deal. It's nicer than I thought it would be. I thought it would be a major clunker next to my bf's iPad 2 but it's nice! Definitely can't beat it for what I paid.
I'm a huge Apple fan boy but I gotta say that webOS is very nice. I've noticed somethings though.
1. Video calling is hit or miss. I had it working only twice. Haven't been able to do a video call between Touchpads as well as TP and or iOS, Mac, PC. When it works the connection is kinda crappy. I tried in different locations and still had problems. Audio calls are good.
2. In my Steve Ballmer impression, "Developers, Developers, Developers, Developers." I want to read some ePUB files that I have and the only reader is pReader. It is excruciatingly slow. I still haven't been able to get it working properly. The ePub file in question works great on my Nook Color and other devices. Hopefully, there is a new version of pReader.
3. At first I thought I would get this and install Android whenever it became available. Nonetheless, webOS is very impressive and would be a shame to go to Gingerbread or Honeycomb.
At the end of the day, I am very happy with my investment.

GOOD NEWS FOR HULU WATCHERS!
It has already been discovered how to enable hulu on the touchpad by hexediting the flash player to identify you as windows. http://pastebin.com/bsP8rrkD
It requires installing the webos SDK and some other things and takes a bit of time to do if you are a novice, but I have it running right now works fine so if you want it its there.
That guys instructions add an extra step by the way, you dont need to download novaterm. The default nova in the sdk works fine, you just copy the flash library to your pc, make a backup, edit the original and then add it back with nova.
Got mine from Cost Central earlier today. Updated, tweaked, and overclocked and it's running like butter, I love it. Thinking about popping over to Best Buy to check out the accessory situation (and maybe peak and see if they have any TPs in stock... my grandmother showed interest in the iPad but for a hundred bucks this is a way better choice for her). I was Sprint Pre user until early this year when I switched to an Evo and I have definitely missed webOS. Bought ComicShelf HD and loaded up a bunch of my comics to read on my commute to school... something to look forward to in the face of a new semester at least!
