Also, the free apps are really awesome. There might not be 100,000 of them, but the quality of the ones they have is better than I expected! nod

As far as profile I only see 2 of them:
OnDemandTC 1512
Palm Default

Ok. I see you just didn't put the 1512 in and didn't list is as on page. No problem.
Thanks
yah.. I just left the numbers out

My touchpad brightness doesnt seem all that great. Is it a dud or does it normally not "pop" out at you blindingly?

The pro reviews stated the same thing, but they are WRONG! Smilie

Tap on the battery icon and it will open options, one of them being display brightness (it's default is set low to save battery... just raise it to 80 or so). Then you see it's the same as Ipad. Now, brightness will effect your battery life (on any device) , so pick to your needs.

I know about the settings, but screens usually seem to be painfully bright on most devices at full tilt. This one at 100 seems clear, anything less seems to be significantly dimmer.

I normally turn down brightness on every device to max 30%. this one seems much dimmer than an avg screen. I was wondering if others have noticed anything like that?

Does anyone know how to close out apps once you open them? I just got my touchpad and am trying to learn how to use it. I'm used to the ipad. Thanks

for those overclocking to 1.5 theres no need to follow the old instructions to get webos kernel testing

get preware
get govnah
go to preware and look for uberkernel and download it
restart and start govnah
select ondemandtcl profile and you are done

Ahh screw it, I'm opening mine. I had it sitting on my bed for about 15 minutes while I contemplated opening it or selling it. Considering I would never pay full retail for another tablet I might as well jump. I'll post thoughts later tonight.

Anyone know of a work around to somehow get Netflix to play on this thing? Or do I just have to hope they come out with an app?

Maybe you have a defective one, I don't know.

I have IPAD and HP touchpad next to each other to compare them and I adjusted the HP's brightness to match IPAD's. Seems the same to me.

If you have problems updating your TP (like I did) try doing this when running webos doctor (I couldn't get the "next" button to show up until i did it this way):

it's better to put the device into recovery mode before running a doctor, rather than letting it try to reboot the device itself. All you have to do is power off the device, plug in the USB cable, and then power it back on while holding the volume up button in. In addition, you don't have to have the device in developer mode that way.

Looks like some good news already for us new TP owners.

See Post #98 [xda-developers.com]

And this one too;

See Post #63 [rootzwiki.com]

It looks like it's just a matter of time. Once stable, I wonder how this will affect the prices for the Transformer, Iconia, Galaxy Tab, etc... There's gonna be a lot of love for HP.
