I find this interesting. I guess its true. I don't like to use my mind. One job I wouldn't do in a million years is accountant.
I couldn't stand homework in school. If I had to choose between sitting in an air conditioned office cubical all day in front of a computer or driving a UPS truck, I think I would go with the UPS truck.
Do I want to drive a UPS truck? No. But one of the things I realized while working as a seasonal helper for that company is that a lot of the drivers are pretty smart and most I've spoken to have a Bachelors degree. They just decided that they were already making decent money and were closer to retirement than starting a new career.
I don't think it makes me a bad person, or a loser, or even a stupid person, because I don't like to think.
I think there's a problem with society. Society tells us what to like. It sells us what to value. It tells us we want to live in as big of a house as possible and cram it full of stuff. The more stuff you own, the better. It tells us that intellectuals are supposed to watch Broadway plays and not NASCAR. Well I love NASCAR and would rather swallow a rusty nail than sit through a Broadway play.
Society also tells us that we want to have a suit and tie job. It doesn't matter how miserable you might be actually doing that job. Big money, Big money. Thats all we are trained to know.
An interesting social experiment would be what would happen if we could isolate a community (in an alternate universe) and pay every job equally. Ok, thats called socialism, but use your imagination. And what if the janitor got paid $200,000 and an office exec. $67,000.
Isn't the boy or girl working in the top floor of an office building with a phone in one hand multitasking several things at once with a lot to do and a lot on their mind, at least somewhat envious at the man in the hot dog truck out the window?
Does anyone ever think "Some days I'd rather just put a hot dog in a bun"

This ordeal is like a fire tempering a sword. It's making chewy even tougher. If he got leprosy and his arm fell off, he'd beat the shit out of a bear, dip his stump in lemon juice and sew it back on with his good hand.
Theres nothing wrong with your thought process, as long as you don't complain about.
You know the choices you made got you to were you are today. I wish more people would realize that.
Yes our society has us wanting to keep up with the joneses. But our society is beautiful in that you can do whatever the hell you want. Want to be a bum, be a bum, want to screw off in school, do it! Just don't complain about CEOs making huge bucks when you werent willing to put in the time and effort into schooling/work that they did.
Freedom of choice is so beautiful isnt it!
Imagine if I had to console, the family of those slayed, I slain on game consoles...
And of course, when my job gets stressful, I look outside and think how great it would be to be a construction worker, working outside, building stuff with my hands. But then it gets cold, and then it rains, and then I remember the stress is due to the responsibility I have, and that responsibility is what I am being compensated for.
LSU QB Jordan Jefferson along with 3 other teammates were brought into question by police after a bar brawl last weekend. Apparently, no charges were filed against Jordan Jefferson because he only completed 4 of the 16 punches he threw, and 2 of those were to the wrong person. The team’s Curfew was 10:30, but seeing as the incident happened around 2:00 am, clock management is still an issue for Les Miles.
