Yes, actually micro USB has been widely agreed upon as the eventual universal connector for future phones. You might reference "USB" on Wikipedia, it mentions this agreement to standardize the proprietary connectors ugh. They'll be gone eventually.

Just a technical note, I know that HTC phones for instance use a proprietary connector (the name escapes me right now) BUT I found out it's actually backwards compatible with a USB *mini* connector. I tried and sure enough it fit into the same connector and functioned as the other.

If you plan to order more than 1 monoprice actually makes good wall and car chargers for a decent price, but they have that flat rate 5 dollar shipping in CA.

Better than these listed? I bought a few from ebay and other phone sellers but they are all crap. I bought 1 Motorola charger and its going strong.

I am using this on EVO 3D.

Just make sure you buy from Amazon.com not some 3rd party.

I have the droid x and bought a bundle on ebay that included car charger and extra usb cable for charging along with a bunch of other stuff for less than this.. I know its not the "official" verizon/motorola items, but they work perfectly fine, and if you dont have prime this deal is bad. Its ok at best.. I didnt TD though.

I purchased five of the each of the monoprice usb wall chargers and car chargers over a year ago and I don't recommend going down that route.

2 of the usb car chargers completely fell apart and 2 more recently broke. I gave the 5th one away.

3 of the wall chargers were useless out of the box to charge my original Motorola Droid. They would cause wierd issues with the phone would seem like it was possessed. Screen would go crazy like it was randomly being pressed. The other 2 wall chargers I am still able to use today, however they won't charge a new Nexus S I recently got.

I did pick up one of the Motorola USB car chargers from Amazon.com and the construction looks and feels high quality. It also has no issues with charging any of my micro usb devices.

One of the other issues I had with the Monoprice USB car chargers is when I use it to charge my Verizon Novatel 4G MiFi. Depending on the charger, the MiFi may not allow it to broadcast the WiFi signal while its being charged. The Monoprice USB chargers had this problem, but the Motorola charger allows me to use the WiFi while its being charged so that's a huge bonus.

I wish there was actually free shipping... Not the "prime" member shipping... $5 for shipping on a $4 product... meh

The Motorola-branded one is far better than the Verizon charger, and it's cheaper, to boot. Buy it.

Its weird, it will let me add it to cart and shows in stock but will not let me checkout and says that its not in stock lol.

EDIT: It looks like its limited to 2 per account. I can checkout with another account but not the one from which I already ordered 2, sucks. Whats even weird is that it let me ship the first 2 via Next Day shipping for free.
