Quicken Premier [intuit.com]

Using the link for Premier you should be able to click on the "Products" tab at the top of the page and see all of the offerings.

Quicken is set to release the 2012 version on October 3rd, 2011. Using the provided link you get about 1/2 off all of the current 2011 offerrings. When you purchase within 60 days of the new release Intuit upgrades you to the newer product. So you should end up with the 2012 version after release.

For reference Costco will be offering Quicken Premier 2012 without any additional software for $59.99 on or after October 3rd to its members.

Every 2 years? 3 years? I use the Quicken Home & Business but my version is 2009, so wondered when I would have to upgrade. TIA! Those we love don't have to be exactly like us. Where from you got this date?

BTW, I am a big quicken fan...

I am looking for similar applications (standalone, not web based) for
1) Time management (scheduling etc)
2) Journal (Recording the life'a major events, related media like pictures etc)
Any suggestions?
All must be standalone applications, portable applications are real nice

BTW, I am also happy with the FamilyTree Maker software. Whenever I go somewhere to meet my family or extended family, I will record their family relatives etc in it.. my tree is growing :-)

Nesan: I believe Quicken 2012 versions are due to be released in October. In this case will I get free upgrade to 2012 willmaker when that is released?
intuit rep: We don't have such offer now but you can purchase Quicken 2011 Deluxe now and you can return the product with in 60 days of purchase and take your money back then upgrade to Quicken 2012 and it will upgrade your files automatically
Nesan: at that time, do I need to pay full price for 2012?
intuit rep: If there would be any offer you can cash it otherwise full amount .
