Regardless of what others may say, some of us still can`t get the broadband width necessary for viewing movies, soooo rep`d and appreciate the post.
I was referring to Blu-ray actually. If you're going to rebuy it as blu-ray anyway, it's better to just wait for a deal on that version. There are plenty of programs that will let you convert BR to portable or compress for viewing on your laptop.
Actually, strike that... I was forgetting that most people probably only have 720p laptops rather than true HD (1080p or 1920x1200). When I bought my laptop THAT was called an HD screen since it was higher resolution, but that was before they started intentionally misrepresenting screen resolutions to make more money. SD for a laptop used to be 1280x1024. Now HD is 1280x720p. I get the whole "tv standards" carp, but seriously how do you call something high definition when you're actually just cropping out part of the picture and making the screen smaller?
