been using this now for the past week, got this via Dell as well. Great, large monitor and 1080p is not too small for it. Yeah a higher res is always nice, especially now I have a GPU that can handle higher res, but 1080p is still super nice for everything I need this to do from school work to gaming.

I also don't have speakers on my desk, so the speakers on this monitor are fine for sharing youtube videos in the room etc, and I have it hooked up to an amped headphone when I want to game etc. Great deal!!

Yeah, I recommend this aswell. Great lean-back monitor. Better quality than the large and cheap Hanns-G and Hannspree monitors. Even has better user ratings than any of the Samsung 27"

Don't buy this thinking you'll use the speakers, though... they're really only appropriate for things like Windows system sounds. Also, the presets are too bright, so you'll need to spend some time tweaking the settings.

Is the screen glossy or matte?

So anyway I was wondering if you still have the box and the stuff in it that came with your monitor that you recently got from Dell in the past week. Did it come with a clear glossy plastic film screen that covered the monitor surface? If so, do you still have it and what kind of cosmetic condition is it in?

agreed, however the resolution issues are enough to make me pass on this one... waiting for a great deal on a better resolution (for my needs).
