Video card for Dell Inspiron 580
I am looking for the best Video card for this Dell Inspiron 580 I'm not teck savvy and I don't want to put NEW POWER SUPPLY IN. I do no that I can not plug power in to the video card so the slot is the only thing giving it power I'd also like to use two (Dual DVI) Mentors I am also a fan of GeForce any one no what the best is for around $200.00? O and thanks for any help finding somthing

Probably your best bet is the GT 440 [newegg.com] series card. Like the above poster said, all the current cards above the $100 range require you to plug in the PCIe power adapter.

Your computer has a 300W power supply. This rating is probably the sustained power as opposed to peak power that some other shady power supply manufacturers label their units with. Many video cards come with a molex->PCIe power adapter or you could buy one. The best card that doesn't require PCIe power to be plugged in is the Radeon HD 6670 which is easy to find for under $100. A version with 1GB of DDR5 memory will outperform cards with less memory or the cheaper ones with DDR3 memory. |

I figured he had a mini ITX power supply, and that's why he didn't want to upgrade. |

Why do you not want to change the power supply? Dell is notorious for putting bare minimum power supplies into their Inspiron line. You really should not do any upgrading of anything other than more RAM or a larger hard drive with the stock power supply.
