Right now It looks a little sparse on the 8gb memory upgrades. I would wait until either black friday or just keep an eye out. Regular pricing seems to be between $45 and $60 for 8gb. Sale prices are usually in the $35 range.

Depends what you want to do, if I needed something to work among being overall more functional I would go with the laptop. (I have the touchpad and it is very nice for a tablet, if I needed a laptop I would go with that.)
