CVS Chat Thread

I went in late last night for a last minute (non-deal) run. As I was finishing paying, the manager came around the corner and gave me one of those F&F % coupons. I get along with all the CVS cashiers, but I would've never, ever expected to get one of these. I've never felt like such a valued customer before

If I want to include a bottle of wine in my order, how does that work if I'm paying with EB's? Does the register beep for the last EB to be adjusted down once my total reaches the price of the wine? I rarely purchase alcohol at CVS, but there are some bottles of wine on sale next week that DH would like to get for a party. Thanks!

Should go through beepless. It's up to the cashier to notice if you've purchased those items and not to allow ecb to cover them. Works for me all the time on stamps. I just keep asking for the updated subtotal to pay as little as possible and they mostly forget about the alc or stamps.

Has anyone done a Canvas print at CVS Photo? I just got a Q for $5, so I'm wondering if it's good enough quality to even bother with. I want to use it as a holiday gift...TIA!

Dang. I just got a CVS survey but there was no ECB involved. Just an entry into a drawing I guess I should be happy it was that......... I haven't gotten a survey in months.....

Since it is chat thread, I would like some help/ideas for the holiday gifting. I have quite a few ECB that I can use to get gifts @ CVS. I have planned/come up with good ideas for the female teachers, but still struggling for Male teachers.

I need Gift ideas for 3 Male Middle school teachers. Two of them teach academic(Math & Social) and also is a coach. The third one is my DD's Orchestra Teacher. I'm hesitant to give any H&B stuff to Male teachers, any other fun/unique ideas for less $$ or gifts that can be bought @ CVS?!!! Each teacher will receive one bag of Hershey's chocolate with a greeting card along with the gift.

I include beer and wine in my purchases quite often and the ECB do not beep.

A snack basket? I'm thinking those containers of nuts (like the ones we just got free) and maybe a couple of those .99 Coke bottles that have been on sale lately? Throw in a beef jerky or another "snack"-type item ......... you could always add a redbox code and make a "Movie Night" theme basket.

Awesome! I ordered the CVS brand Prevacid and I got a sample of Centrum Flavorburst (with a $2 coupon), an itty bitty tube of Aveeno, 2 packets of Aveeno poo/conditioner and a $1/1 Hershey's POG coupon.

No camcorders for me!

Hey, that was my idea! Except I will extend it a bit, I actually use the small ice chests (I get them at the end of the summer, with the clearance). And the blue ice, but those are both probably long gone. Regarding the beef jerky, I just saw coupons on the Dr Pepper 10 2 ltr bottles for get the bottle free wyb Jack Link beef jerky.

Another thing I thought was cute at CVS is the head lamp that is in the boxed gifts section ($5 each). DH uses something like this when walking the dogs at night. He also has used one like this when looking under the hood of the car.

In that same area, there are also cheaper versions of the leatherman tools for $5.

that's really cool! is that standard practice for cvs to include free samples in their online orders or was it just for black friday purchases?

I was thinking getting the iTunes GC since I have two $5 off $25 CRT combine with 12/2 Buy $50 and get $10 ECB. I can give one $25 to the Orchestra teacher?

I'm also thinking of getting $10 Sports Authority GC for each Coach, is it an okay amount to gift with a bag of chocolate and greetings?

For the female teachers I'm putting together a bundle of all Glade collections like Oil diffuser kit and a refill, Spray starter kit and refill, 4 oz candle, Scented oil candle holder with a refill and a aerosol spray. Also we are going to make cute Duck tape flower pens to add to the gift. The teachers loved the hand made flower pens last year!!!! HTH someone who's also planning on gifts for teachers

I am going to Las Vegas in a few weeks. Does anyone know if the CVS on the strip near the Monte Carlo accepts ECBs from our local stores? It would be great to use some to pick up some water and other incidentals.

I noticed a travel/warming mug in CVS yesterday. If you know the teacher drinks coffee/hot tea/cocoa, one of those with drink mixes/snacks would be good. Maybe even something like a "breakfast basket" that he could grab sustenance on the run in the a.m.
