Welcome to SD and CVS!There's a clearance thread here, which is where this should be reported. The wiki of every weekly thread should have a link to it, and lots of other helpful CVS threads, case you can't find it. Good luck in your deals! Reps are back...for now.
I owe loads of gratitude to everyone that got me where I am! Read the *NEW* CVS FAQ and post your questions there. Let's keep the deal threads deal-related, please.Would it kill you to read the wiki? Or to read the thread? All the experts got to where they are by reading...you can too. |

I like the way that sounds I can't rep for another 24 hours, but I will when I can....okay and shoot me if this is some place and I just missed it - but can you roll ECB's on the same deals like you can at RA?Edit because I don't know if that makes sense..... i.e. if you earned an ECB on garnier can you use it on garnier and get another ECB (assuming the limit is more than 1) |

) CVS doesn't have as clear of a coupon policy (that I can find anyway), but is, in my limited experience, even more coupon friendly than RA. One of the nicest features is the longer expiration for ECBs. They also have nice little "extras" like the beauty club and the green bag tag which require very little from you, but add up nicely. And, it may be that I have an odd sample, but I have use five CVSs that are close to me and not run into a coupon problem with any of them (knock on wood). It is switching between these two and WAGs that causes the real mental gymnastics. |

I'd love some books! Can they be chopped up? I started doing that with the RA marathon books in the summer. I can't even tell you how many of those I sent out. I understand how quicky the postage adds up. PM me on that one.The 4/20.........I wrote about that in last weeks thread. I had my order all together and it was the last day to use the Cottonelle wipe freebie coupons, so I used those to get to 20.00, or so I thought. I always put the 4/20 on top, so she scanned it and it said my order wasn't 20.00. Apparently the wipes were on sale. It made for a very awkward moment, as I added the free candy bar, whcih was then ringing up 1.19, so I paid for the free candy bar, but there was a very large line behind me and she was the only register. As soon as it's scanned, whether the computer accepts it or not it's deactivated. The store pushed it through, since they accept expired's anyway, but it wasn't a great moment.I know the 4/20 will scan at 19.96 without issue though. I've seen reports of 19.91, but the lowest I tried, after reading the 19.91, was 19.96 and was glad I didn't have to scurry for a filler.

On a side note can you use an emailed $/$$ on a different card? I just signed up and got a 4/20, but it expires at the end of the month and I don't think I'll end up using it. I'd liek to RAOK it if I can. |

Alright well I'll hold on to it then....thanks again!! I feel like a super geek that I'm kinda excited about this, RA has been profitable for me lately - but they are kind of a hassle. The thought of a more coupon informed/ friendly store has me excited. Edit: and by profitable I mean I have more UPs than I started with and stuff I actually use...

send to card I told the last manager it was because printed copies allow me to more readily remember what offers I have and decide when to use them - he countered with, If I select send to card, I will get a message at the register asking if I want to use the offer now or save it for my next transaction. I don't know if this is correct, I've never done send to card... |

I don't know if you can check offers that are on your card from the website, but if you can I would counter with: "Because I don't have internet at home to check the offers on my card I wouldn't necessarily remember what was on there when writing out my shopping list/ putting my Q's together - thus it is better when I have all of those things printed out and right in front of me, then I don't forget and screw something up. Thanks for your help though, it would be great if I had internet at home...." |
