I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post their own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!




Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I know everyone has their trials and tribulations they go through; but please say a pray for me. Next Wednesday after 69 days in Rehab, I'll be bringing my FIL home, and this time he will be wheelchair bound Sadwalk - which means my life will only get harder than it has been. He was only supposed to be in Rehab for 5-7 days; and it turned into this nightmare for him and for us Frown I'm not sure what our plans will be, I guess we will take it one day at a time; but I'm tired, really tired right now; and worn out by all the years of doing this. As a Care Giver, I sometimes think its a thankless job, where one is unappreciated, and your own life is taken from you; especially when the person you are taking care of is mean to you as well - yet you have to take it all in with a smile - go home and want to punch the wall. Then you have doctor's and professionals tell you how wonderful a job you are doing; and you want to vomit because of the stress you are under.

This place, this site, the Lounge, and the people here give me the courage to keep on going every day; without some of you; I think I would have thrown in the towel long ago Embarrassment

Thank you both; I've done nothing all afternoon since this news was given to me; other than look on CL's for wheelchairs; I need a specific type; and unfortunately we haven't passed the 5 yr mark for Medicare to pick up Durable Medical Equipment on this; since the last time we had to purchase something Frown I'm just tired of thinking of the "logistics" of all of this; but yes, somehow I'll pull a miracle out of my hat to make it work and manage to survive.

hug to you both; as I said if not for this place; sometimes I don't know what I would do. Anyone need a pair of "mental ramps" laugh out loud I found those on CL's for sale for wheelchairs - okay that did make me laugh - some people need help spelling with their ads Big Grin

or maybe they really are mental ramps..I can think of a few loungers who could use those to get to the next level. laugh out loud

hug and Pray Picca. Caregiving is hard enough as it is but I can't imagine how much harder it would be if the person you're caring for is mean to you about it.
