This is a great deal, but if you want a smaller screen, the ASUS Republic of Gamers is a better system for gaming, as it has a better graphics card for a much lower price.

Important: I would buy this as a multimedia laptop. One of the best and at this price point, difficult to aruge with.
That being said, I wouldn't consider it one of the best gaming laptops at this price point. VERY good, but not the best (again, at this price point).

I mean sure, the 17', while has good power, is also portable enough for relocating the battlefield from a desk to, say, the couch, but other than that, there's limited options for expansion/upgrade, screen, heat, etc etc.
