Found this site with lots of info regarding this computer: iBook [everymac.com].
It was introduced 6 years ago and discontinued over 5 years ago. The nice price for an Apple product might not be worth it, though I am still considering. |

Again, unless you need the PowerPc architecture, you will be better off buying almost any other $200 laptop. Refurbished Dell D620/630 models go for $200 all the time. They are a much better machine for the same money. |

I agree. My parents have this exact laptop. It was nice when it came out, but today it is just far too slow to be used with modern websites. There are no updated browsers that support the OS, so you will be stuck using a VERY old version of safari/firefox. Even after doing a complete wipe and clean (installing the OS from scratch) this laptop is just too slow to use today. Maybe at a $50 price point this would be worth it for... watching movies or something... but no way is this worth $200. Slickest Deals:

lol this should be free... power pc is way old..and even apple isn't really supporting it anymore. I just replaced a first generation power pc mac mini for a relative because it was way slow compared to today's standards... then anything media it would say you need to update flash plugin .. and of course Adobe stopped supporting power pc in the new version of flash.. you can't revert to the old version because then when you go on youtube or any other media type thing, it won't show the video and says you need to upgrade.
haha used something like this but the 15" back in college for film editing.. man how technology has changed  the mac attack deals were better than this.. apply the $200 you would have spent here.. and be quick on the trigger/add to car/buy to get one of those C2D 2+ GHz 2gb ram, 120-160hdd ones for $370. Saw a couple yesterday, as I was browsing for a cheap lappy for the wife to use.... but if I got her that.. she'd be taking my macbook pro and I'd be using that.. so didn't end up getting anything and in the meantime she can use my previous mbp.
