I'm SO glad I rated OnSale bad on Amazon... So I planned to redeem my $30 credit and then take back the feedback I left, but they will NOT let me talk to anyone. I tried yesterday and was on hold listening to their annoying music for over a half hour. Now here I am again on hold for at least 20 minutes now as I type. I believe I'm stuck in an endless loop and no one is actually going to pick up. This is 100% NOT how to run a business. I don't care that I got a touchpad. What if I was just a regular customer wanting to buy something. How can you do business if you don't answer their call. So I no longer feel bad about the negative feedback. They got what they deserved. Even if they weren't in the wrong regarding the touchpad scandal, I consider the backlash as karma.

You do realize their business isn't ready for such mass volumes right...
Thats like asking a gas station to sell touchpads. And they dont need to have customers. There are thousands of people ready to buy a 32GB touchpad at 149.99. They dont need your business, so stay on hold longer please. |

I DID eventually get a touchpad, and I thank them for that. Thats what made me feel bad about rating them bad. But when I tried to actually redeem that $30 credit, no one answered the phone. Touchpad doesn't matter. They promised $30 and I will hold them to that. I believe in doing the right thing. So as of now, NO they DID NOT give me $30 gc. They just SAID they would. And it had to be done by phone. Why? So I can get stuck in an endless loop waiting like an idiot on hold unable to speak to a person? So their customer service IMO is terrible. What if I had a problem with an order? Are they gonna put me in another "please hold" endless loop hoping that I would give up and eventually forget about it? The fact is, they did say they would give me a $30 credit and I will try again tomorrow to redeem it, but I'm expecting to be put on hold in an endless loop again with them hoping that I would give up and forget about the $30. Its their customer service I have a problem with. Not whether or not I get my $30. Hence: I am SO glad I rated them bad. P.S. I really believe if I didn't tell the person who answered the first time that I was trying to redeem my credit, that they wouldn't have put me "on hold" and never picked up the phone. I really believe this may be a tactic to get people trying to redeem their credit to give up and go away. I will also try from a different phone and not mention the credit and just say that I want to buy something. Lets see if that makes a difference and THEN I will bring up the $30 credit. We shall see what happens. But as of now, I'm not sure if these are good people to deal with if you ever have a problem and need to contact them. Last edited by BargainBob; 10-02-2011 at 09:21 PM.. |

The whole HP touchpad fiasco brought out the most ridiculous sense of entitlement in people and what they consider to be their God-given technological and consumer rights. |
