OP is back! See WIKI for relevant information.

Short: NEW Activations only.
Buy sim card + activation kit/code (required).
Activate online at t-mobile.com, choose $30 plan. Done.

Any unlocked GSM phone will work. Maybe others, YMMV. NO SPRINT/VERIZON (unless they are unlocked and accept SIM cards... typically "world phones"). Also no Blackberry.

How long does it take to receive the sim card activation kit? I ordered and supposedly it shipped 7 days ago, however I've still got nothing and the UPS tracking number T-mobile gave me is not recognized by UPS.
I ordered on 2/20, I received mine on the 23rd via USPS

I am a bit confused and have a simple question, I think I got it right but can someone confirm.

I have a TMobile MicroSIM Activation kit that was purchased directly from Tmobile.com and a Nexus 4. As I understand, all I would need to do is to activate that on Tmobile.com with the link in the wiki, select the $30 plan that shows up when I activate and add my WalMart $30 refill that was purchased from walmart.com. Correct?

Or do I need to buy the kit from walmart.com and activate that?

Thanks in advance, appreciate the help.

If the sim is unactivated/new you can just use the signup link in the Wiki and fund the account with whatever payment method, credit card, debit, check, or refill card (purchased from anywhere that sells tmobile prepaid cards)

Perfect, thank you for the quick reply. Have a WMT GC burning a hole in my pocket so using that up initially and then going the route you suggested. Appreciate the quick reply, I have a $120 2 line plan with TMobile, guess this is going to save me some $$ every month.

Yes, Tmobile # is being transferred to GV and then will forward it to my new number... trying to figure out GV integration so that I don't have to give a new number to my contacts though that would not be that much of a pain...

It is not just T-mobile. I see refill for other carriers too. Some at least at 20% off and no tax on everyone.

So I just dont know.

It took me about 18 - 20 hrs before it get refilled.

Be careful. If it is stolen cc and user find out many months later, Tmo will ask you back for the credit.

The seller has to manually add it to your account, which is why they need your phone number, it isnt an automatic process.

If the discount is more than 5 or 10% it's likely fraudulent.

Tmobile killed all discounts; no matter how much you buy, Tmobile isn't going to discount their prepaid service anymore. Since Feb 1st, any discount below face = scam.

Next up is the death of OP's plan.

T-Mobile sells it below face itself: http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.co...l-Contract
