I have a question I hope someone can help. I'm currently on this $30 plan. My son is currently with Sprint. He wants me to leave the $30 plan and get a two line T-mobile plan and split the price. I tried to convince him to do the $30 Walmart but he always has phone problems sprint fixes it and likes having all the newest phones. With the $30 plan most people don't always need the latest and greatest and there is no phone repair service.. If I leave this plan would I ever be able to get it back and I'm worried about porting my number back and forth. Will T-mobile do that. Thank you!!

Yes you can get back on his plan

Thanks. T-mobile recently changed their tethering policy and I just signed up a few days ago, maybe that is the reason the "mobile hotspot usage" isn't showing up on that screen within the app. Otherwise it's the same. Maybe someone else will chime in who has recently signed up. I have tethered over 2 gigs and it's still working fine. Thank again.
I have been paying for tethering for a year or so. they recently did a plan change where they removed my tethering option. I found out when they texted me of the plan change. I called tmo but the rep had no idea what happened. supposedly he spoke with a super and said its now included for free..... not sure if anyone had the same thing happen to them, but I guess I'll be saving 15 a month. thanks fcc??!

Yes my tethering is still working fine but doesn't work with built in app on my phone only open garden hotspot. I went over the 5 gig, so it is too slow for many sites but for instant radar and a quick mail check on the phone, it is better than nothing.

Is anyone getting better results once they go over the 5gigs?

Are the speeds for all the free music streaming service, "music freedom," slowed down once you go over limit? It seems to be working ok with I heart radio without an issue.

Thanks, it could be my phone. It is an At&t version and doesn't do all the bands. It did 6mb/sec before I went over the 5gb limit.

Are others getting fast speeds after going over 5gb? Thanks again for the info...

My text message for going over 4GB out of 5GB says, quote:
You have used 4.0 of the 5.0GB of your T-Mobile monthly high speed data. If you use all this data you will experience slower speeds up to 64kbps until your next renewal. Visit t-mo.co/M4GUP to purchase more high speed data.

=(

64kbps is a smidge faster than dial up!

That sounds about the speed I am getting now after going over the 5gb limit. Yes I got that text too. I was surprised the other poster was getting fast speeds...

Hi newbie at this. Please assist. This is for my son. I have a VZ unlimited plan to add him its $40 and only 2G. So think this is a way better deal. Thanks in advance.

1. Get unlocked phone. My friend might have a S3. If I activate on this can I just take the SIM and put in another device (S5, S6 any deals out there?)

2. Get New T-Mobile Monthly4G $30 Unlimited Web & Text with 100 min of talk http://www.walmart.com/ip/39081494

3. Is there auto pay for the $30 months after or do I have to buy refills at the stores like these? http://www.target.com/p/t-mobile-...dSlot=_1_4 and http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tmobile...ethod=p13n
